Deshedding is more than just brushing 🐾✨

That loose undercoat you see being removed is what causes most of the shedding at home. When it builds up, it can trap dirt, moisture, and even lead to skin irritation if not properly maintained.

Using the right tools and technique helps safely remove that undercoat without damaging the topcoat—keeping the coat healthier and your pup more comfortable 🤍

We also lightly trimmed the front leg furnishings to keep everything neat, balanced, and easier to manage between appointments ✂️

As our pups get older, grooming becomes so much more than just keeping them looking cute — it really supports their overall health 🤍🐾

Regular grooming helps stimulate blood circulation, and also allows early detection of lumps, bumps, or skin issues before they become serious.

For senior pups, it helps keep them comfortable, mobile, and feeling their best ✨

At Velaroo, I take my time with every dog — I go at their pace, never rush, no kennels, and everything is done one-on-one on their time. That calm environment makes such a difference, especially for our older babies 🤍

Mimi was such a good girl for her spaw day — she felt so relaxed she actually fell asleep on the doggy bed in my salon while her brother got groomed 🥹🐾
