🌴😎Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week!😎🌴
TOBY: THE FURRY LITTLE MAN WHO HAS A LOT TO SAY📢
There are dogs who wake up in the morning, stretch politely, have a little breakfast, and calmly begin their day. And then there is Toby. Toby wakes up every morning like he has just been released from prison after serving a 47-year sentence. “GOOD MORNING, EVERYBODY! I’M AWAKE! WHO WANTS TO SNUGGLE? WHO WANTS TO WALK? WHO WANTS TO HEAR EVERYTHING I HAVE TO SAY?!” Toby is a 15-month-old Shih Tzu–Dachshund mix, which is basically what happens when you combine a teddy bear, a hot dog, and a teenage boy who just realized there are no snacks in the house. He is approximately 30% dog and 70% “EXCUSE ME, I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.”
Now, Toby LOVES other dogs. LOVES them. Unfortunately, Toby has not yet learned the delicate art of making a normal introduction. Most dogs walk up and say, “Hey, how are you?” Toby walks up like he just won the Super Bowl. “HEY! HI! WHAT’S YOUR NAME?! I LOVE YOU! ARE WE BEST FRIENDS?! WANNA RUN?! WANNA WRESTLE?! WANNA START A BUSINESS TOGETHER?!” His enthusiasm is tremendous. His social volume is approximately a 12. His personal-space awareness is currently being negotiated by lawyers. He is working very hard on learning appropriate ways to attract friends, and while he still occasionally comes in like a furry wrecking ball, he is learning. Slowly. Beautifully. Hilariously.
And then there are the snacks. Ohhhh, the snacks. Toby has the soul of a starving teenager who has just opened the refrigerator and discovered someone ate the last pizza. He looks at food like he has been wandering the desert for three days. “You’re eating? Interesting. I, too, would like to eat.” He will follow a human around with the determination of a private investigator who has just been handed the biggest case of his career. Yet somehow, beneath all that energy, all that talking, all that “HELLO, I REQUIRE ATTENTION,” is one of the sweetest little love bugs around. He absolutely adores his morning snuggles and daily walks, and when he settles in for affection, this ridiculous little guy can melt a heart faster than butter on a hot sidewalk.
Toby came to their family after being re-homed from another family, and the last two months have been a pretty big adventure for this little dude. He has experienced a lot of change, and through it all, he has worked so incredibly hard. He is a quick learner, he wants to please, and every day he is figuring out a little more about how to navigate this strange people-and-dog world. His family is unbelievably proud of how far he has come. Toby may still occasionally enter a room with the energy of a kid who drank three energy drinks and found a megaphone, but he is learning, growing, and becoming the wonderful boy he was always meant to be. And honestly? The world needs a little more Toby. Just maybe with the volume turned down two clicks.

🎶⭐Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week! ⭐🎶
🎶 PENNY LANE HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING🎤
And yes, you’re probably going to have that song stuck in your head now.
Meet Penny Lane.
27 pounds of Labradoodle.
100% personality.
And approximately zero interest in being anything other than the star of the show.
Penny got her name because her family loved the way Penny Lane sounded together.
They also happen to be Beatles fans.
Apparently, that was all it took.
Because now, every time Penny walks into the vet’s office, the staff starts singing the song.
Every. Single. Time.
At this point, I’m pretty sure Penny expects a musical number.
She probably walks through the door thinking,
“Okay everyone, places. I’m here.” 🎤
Penny joined her family in 2018 at just 8 weeks old, and she has spent the last 8 years perfecting the fine art of being adorable, getting attention, and convincing everyone that whatever she wants is obviously a completely reasonable request.
And honestly?
She’s very good at it.
At 27 pounds, Penny is the perfect size for:
🐾 Being a professional lap dog
🐾 Receiving belly rubs from unsuspecting humans
🐾 Cruising around on the golf cart like she owns it 🚗💨
🐾 Strolling through Plantation Bay
🐾 Looking cute enough to get away with pretty much anything
🐾 And generally supervising everyone’s activities
She’s a multi-generational Australian Labradoodle with gorgeous Parti coloring and the softest, non-shedding, hypoallergenic fleece hair.
Basically, she looks like someone took the best parts of a teddy bear and gave it an attitude.
But Penny’s best feature?
Her personality.
She’s smart.
She’s sweet.
She’s affectionate.
She’s funny.
And she has that special something that makes people fall for her almost immediately.
She also LOVES her visits with her personal assistant, Tina — because apparently 27 pounds of "absolutely fabulous" requires professional assistance.
And Penny wouldn’t have it any other way.
Since the day she came home, Penny has filled her family’s life with the kind of love, laughter, and companionship that only a dog can bring.
And after 8 years of being adored, cuddled, spoiled rotten, and almost certainly getting away with things she knows perfectly well she shouldn't…
Penny has a message for everyone:
“I am NOT spoiled.”
pause
“I am simply being properly appreciated.”
Fair enough, Penny.
We don't make the rules.
We just follow them.
And when it comes to Penny Lane?
She’s worth every Penny. 💕
🎶 PENNY LANE! 🎶
Now go ahead and try NOT to sing the song.
I’ll wait. 😂

💔 With a very heavy heart, we share the heartbreaking news about Harvey.

After an extensive search, Harvey was located by our drone operator, Trey Larson. Sadly, Harvey had succumbed to the extreme heat.

We are devastated by this outcome. We know so many people were hoping and praying for Harvey to be found safely and brought home. 💔🐾

A heartfelt thank-you to Trey Larson for his time, dedication, and efforts in helping locate Harvey. 🙏

Please keep Harvey’s family and everyone who loved him in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. 🌈🐾

Run free, Harvey. You will not be forgotten. 💔

🐾 👑 Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week 👑🐾
Knock, Knock! The Queen Has Arrived! Meet Chevelle—Queen of the House, Socialite, and the ultimate host, making every visitor feel like the most important guest in town!
Move over, HGTV… Chevelle has arrived, and she’s here to supervise all home improvement projects like a BOSS! This baby faced 5-year-old boxer (who celebrated her birthday on June 11th 🎉) is not your average pup — she’s a full-time household manager, part-time neighborhood celebrity, and the official welcoming committee wherever she goes.
Named after the classic Chevelle car because her dad is a true gear-head, this girl was built for attention. Her daily mission? Meet as many people as possible, collect compliments, and remind everyone she meets that life is better with a boxer by your side. Her favorite outings include trips to Lowe’s and Home Depot, where she happily inspects the aisles and makes sure every shopper receives the proper amount of tail wags, smoochies and boxer wiggles.
At home, Chevelle has her humans well-trained. Her rules are simple: snackies should be provided, belly rubs should be available on demand, and everyone should remember who’s really in charge. She also has a very special neighbor, Tucker the Lab, who lives across the street and proudly holds the important title of her “official boyfriend.” ❤️ She wants you to know he is VERY Handsome.
Chevelle is proof that some dogs don’t just enter your life — they take over the couch, your schedule, and your heart. With her sweet personality, goofy boxer charm, and endless love for everyone she meets, this girl has earned her crown as the queen of the neighborhood.
And while Chevelle keeps everyone entertained today, there is always a special place in her family’s heart for Chevee, the beloved boxer who came before her. After 14 wonderful years of love, laughter, and memories, Chevee left behind a legacy that continues through the joy, endless kisses, and happiness that Chevelle brings to her family every single day.

🌈Some Souls Leave Paw Prints Forever... Others Arrive to Help Your Heart Smile Again 💞
Almost a year ago, this family said goodbye to their beloved Maltese, Cuddles. Losing a dog who had been part of their lives left a silence that was impossible to ignore. The house felt different. The routines had changed. And although the love for Cuddles would never fade, they knew another puppy would never be a replacement. So they waited... until they could give another little soul the time, patience, and unconditional love she deserved.
Then, one ordinary day, they saw Luna Rose.
One look at her tiny face was all it took. Their hearts instantly melted. Without hesitation, they packed up the car and made the drive to Homestead, Florida, to bring their little girl home. Looking back now, it almost feels as though Luna wasn't found at all... she was meant to find them. Some things in life have a way of happening exactly when they're supposed to.
Her name carries a story all its own. Luna, meaning moon, paired with Rose, their daughter's middle name, couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment they met, it was obvious these two were destined to be together. A girl and her puppy—a friendship built on unconditional love, endless giggles, muddy paw prints, bedtime snuggles, and memories that will one day become treasured stories.
Luna was the shyest, quietest puppy in her litter. But with every passing day, she's discovering that the world isn't so scary after all. Her very first adventure onto the grass was unforgettable. She gently reached out with one tiny paw, carefully patting the grass as if asking permission before taking another step. It was such a small moment, yet it had everyone laughing and smiling. Sometimes it's the tiniest milestones that become the biggest memories.
In just a few short days, this tiny ball of fluff has already brought life back into their home. The laughter is louder. The smiles come easier. The little paws running through the house somehow make everything feel whole again. They can't wait for sunset walks around the lake, family road trips, new adventures, and all the beautiful memories still waiting to be written.
Welcome home, sweet Luna Rose. 🌹🩷
You'll never replace Cuddles... because no one ever could. But you've reminded this family of something truly beautiful—that love doesn't move on... it moves forward. The ones we lose leave paw prints on our hearts forever, and somehow those same hearts continue to grow, making room for new love without ever letting go of the old.
Here's to new beginnings, forever memories, and one very loved little puppy who already has an entire family wrapped around her tiny paw.

🐾🥰Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week!🥰🐾
This Little Westie Doesn’t Have Owners...He Has Staff.
When McGuire crossed the Rainbow Bridge, the house became a little too quiet. It wasn't long before another little Westie was about to change that.
Enter Brodie.
At just 12 weeks old, he made the trip from Arrowhead Acres Westies in Spring Hope, NC, and was picked up at the Jacksonville airport looking like the sweetest, most innocent puppy imaginable.
It was a clever disguise.
His name comes from the Scottish Gaelic word brothaigh, meaning "muddy place." Whoever picked that definition clearly knew Westies. Brodie has never met a flower bed, pile of dirt, or freshly mulched landscape he didn't think needed a little "redecorating."
His name also means "close male friend," and that's exactly what he became. He's their loyal sidekick, faithful shadow, and unpaid life coach who believes no one should ever walk from one room to another without proper canine supervision.
Like every true Westie, Brodie lives by a few simple rules:
If there's a treat... he earned it.
If someone sits down... they clearly wanted to rub his tummy.
If the door opens... it's time to go outside.
If he's outside... it's time to come back in.
If they say "No"... he hears, "Ask again in 30 seconds."
Brodie has mastered an impressive collection of tricks, but he's no amateur entertainer. Every spin, shake, or high-five comes with a price. Payment is accepted exclusively in treats, preferably delivered before the performance begins.
He's stubborn, hilarious, endlessly curious, and completely convinced that the household operates according to the "Brodie Rules." The funny part?
Everyone else seems to agree.
He's not just their second Westie.
He's their best buddy, their daily source of laughter, and the little white dog who somehow managed to fill a house—and their hearts—with joy all over again.

🌴🦩Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week! 🌴🦩
🕵️‍♂️ Case Closed... Meet Retired Detectives Charles & Daisy 🐾
After decades of undercover work in the elite Beagle Bureau of Investigations (BBI), Detectives Charles and Daisy have officially retired. At 10 years young, they've traded high-speed chases for leisurely neighborhood patrols, but don't let their sweet faces fool you—they're still on the case. Every walk is an investigation, every tree holds evidence, and every suspicious smell deserves a full forensic examination... no matter how long it takes.
Their impressive careers were built on two extraordinary talents: noses that could solve mysteries before breakfast and voices that made sure the entire neighborhood knew when they'd cracked the case. Beagles have always been famous for their incredible sense of smell, and Charles and Daisy have spent years proving that no crumb, squirrel, or unattended sandwich can escape justice. If they suddenly stop walking, it's because they've uncovered a clue. Or someone nearby opened a bag of chips. Either way, it's important.
The detectives' greatest plot twist came three years ago when they were recruited by their forever family through Southeast Beagle Rescue in Tampa, Florida. They were adopted at the distinguished age of 7—and yes, they arrived with the names Charles and Daisy already in their personnel files. Daisy had previously belonged to a hunter and had "retired" from field work because she was considered too old to hunt. In fact, before her rescue, she'd never even been on a leash! Charles, meanwhile, came from a young family that simply couldn't give him the time and attention he deserved. Thankfully, fate stepped in and partnered these two veteran detectives with the perfect family for their next assignment: living their best lives.
Of course, every great detective needs fuel, and these two firmly believe snacks are an essential part of every investigation. They'll happily inspect your pockets, supervise your lunch, and ensure no treat goes unaccounted for. Their dedication to evidence collection is second to none—especially if the evidence tastes like bacon.
When they're not solving crimes against snacks or interrogating suspicious bushes, Charles and Daisy enjoy the finer things in life: long naps, longer walks, and convincing everyone they've never been fed—not once in their entire lives. Their sad puppy-dog eyes deserve an Academy Award, their noses deserve a medal, and their detective licenses? Let's just say they're probably still active... because these two have never met a mystery—or a meatball—they weren't determined to crack.

💖🌴Plantation Bay Pet(s) of the Week!🌴💖
🦜Buddy the Macaw: Mr. Smooth Feathers...the Ladies Man!
Meet Buddy, a four-year-old blue and gold macaw who somehow convinced everyone he's less of a bird and more of a tiny, feathered roommate with wings and opinions. He earned the name "Buddy" because he really is everyone's little buddy... although some days he seems more like the neighborhood supervisor. His vocabulary grows by the day, and he's figured out everyone's names, calls for his favorite people, recognizes the sound of the right vehicle pulling into the driveway, and even does such a convincing impression of his human that there have been a few moments of, "Wait... I thought you were home!" Nope. Just Buddy keeping everyone on their toes.
He's also not shy about making requests. If he's thirsty, he'll politely ask for water... complete with a "please," because apparently his manners are better than most people's. When he's ready for bed, he'll announce, "Sleepy, sleepy," like he's filing an official complaint with the management team. Leaving the house? Don't worry—Buddy has security covered. His cheerful "Goodbye!" is quickly followed by "Watch the house!" because someone has to take neighborhood watch seriously.
Now, when it comes to visitors, Buddy has a very specific hiring policy. Men? They're fine. Women? Well... suddenly he's “Mr. Smooth Feathers”. His personality shifts into full-blown charmer mode, proving without question that he's a certified ladies' bird. And when Mom is around, forget about it. Buddy becomes the world's fluffiest Velcro accessory, insisting her shoulder is the only acceptable place to be. Top it all off with his favorite Saturday showers, and it's safe to say this handsome macaw isn't just a pet—he's a hilarious, feathered comedian who runs the household... and somehow has everyone happily following his rules.
