Help Us Build the Spookiest Experience in Live Oak!

We’re calling all creative, handy, and fun-loving people to help us set up our Terror Train & Haunted Maze fundraiser. This is your chance to be part of the magic (and the mayhem!) that will give our community chills and thrills — all while raising money to save dogs through Doggie Rescue Ranch.

🛠 When: Sept 28 - Oct 16
📍 Where: Doggie Dude Ranch, Live Oak, FL 16516 County Road 136
🎯 What You’ll Do:
• Help assemble maze panels and spooky props
• Set up lights, fog machines, and decorations
• Add your creative touch to make it EXTRA scary
•Scarers - Get dressed up and scare other on the nights the train runs

🐾 Adopt — Open your heart and home to a pet who’s ready for their second chance.
🏡 Foster — Even just a week or two gives a dog relief from the shelter, improves their adoptability, and helps us manage space. It even gives us more details about them to share!
🔁 Tag a Rescue — Know a rescue group or agency with room or transport options? Tag them! Networking saves lives.
📲 Share this post — You might not be able to adopt today, but your share might reach someone who can.

Why this matters:

eptember is National Service Dog Month. To most people it’s just another month, but to me it’s everything. I’ve lived the reality of what these dogs do. They aren’t pets, they’re lifelines. They stop the panic, they steady the shakes, they give us the courage to step back into a world we thought we lost.

I’ve watched a dog change a veteran’s life in a single moment. It’s not just the veteran either it’s the families, the kids, the communities who get their person back. That’s the real power of a service dog.

At Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans I get to see it every day, and it’s why I keep pushing. These dogs give us freedom again, and that’s something you can’t put a price tag on.

36 hours on the road. Two dogs delivered. One motorcycle picked up. And my buddy Tim right there beside me the whole way, ride or die.

We had good food, met some incredible people, and most importantly, got to witness two dogs step into their new mission, changing lives for the better. That’s what makes the miles worth it. The long nights, the gas stations, the backroads, they’re just part of the journey when you know what’s waiting at the other end.

Grateful for the support, the donations, and the friendships that keep this mission alive. This wasn’t just a road trip, it was a reminder of why we do what we do.

Today is a special day our boy Six is headed to Virginia to meet his veteran and begin their new life together.

We can’t show you his veteran’s face for privacy and safety reasons, but trust me when I say this moment is powerful. The bond being formed is one built on trust, healing, and the hope of a better tomorrow.

Six has put in the work, and now it’s time for him to do what he was born to do stand beside his veteran through the storms and help guide him back to the light.

This is why we do what we do. Because every match changes not just one life, but a family, a community, and the generations that follow.

Safe travels to Six and his new partner your journey together is just beginning.

Today’s the day 🚐🐾

Six is on his way to Virginia to meet his veteran and begin the next chapter of his life bringing purpose, love, and loyalty to his forever hero.

And Juliet, though she didn’t make it as a service dog, has a beautiful future ahead. She will be heading to North Carolina to live with her forever family, who just so happen to both be veterans themselves. Her mission will still be filled with love, companionship, and the joy she was always meant to give.

This trip starts today and with it two lives, really more, are about to be changed for the better 💙
