About the Artist:
My name is Curtis Cook and I am from Orleans, Michigan. I have been married to my lovely wife Daisy for 18 years and we have one son named Trenton. I started becoming familiar with taxidermy while in middle school, at the age of 14. My first deer mount was completed at the age of 17 and was doing taxidermy part time until 2003 when the taxidermy work load was so great that I had

to go full time and I have not looked back since then. I am a graduate of the Northeast Michigan School of Wildlife Art in Alpena Michigan. I’ve had the opportunity to work for other taxidermists in the past, where I’ve learned that quality is much more important than quantity. I have been a full-time taxidermist since 2003 and am currently a founding member,camera man,hunter what ever needs to be done guy, for T.O.G. Outdoors( The Other Guys Outdoors). I am a currently member in good standing with the Michigan taxidermist association where in the past I have served as a board member.As a member of the MTA, I also am in charge of the purple heart mounting for some of our nations finest soldiers. In the past I also did an article for a local magazine called "The Avid Sportsman".

The shop will be closed May 14th thru the 17th as I attend the Association of Indiana Taxidermist (AIT) show where I will be giving a whitetail deer seminar.

The shop will be closed starting Wednesday the 8th for the Michigan Taxidermy Association show where I am once again judging and doing a seminar. Then taking a break with one of our other judges from Wisconsin and then plan on being back in the shop the following Monday the 20th. Thank you

Here is just a friendly reminder to all my customers that have their antlers I need them back in order to keep your place in line.
If your antlers are not here when it comes to be your turn, I skip you and move on to the next.
This is mainly the 2024 season stuff as I have already skipped 2 people.

Wanted to take a moment to thank everyone of my clients and friends for their patience and understanding during the last few years of me being behind with an overwhelming workload. With the addition of my part time helper DJ and a few others helping, we are starting to get somewhat caught back up.

Ok everybody I have made some decisions here to hope better serve the high demand for my taxidermy services. I have taken on some part time help and freed up some freezer space. So if you don't mind a long wait time (2 yrs) we are going to continue to take in deer this season. I hope this really helps my loyal customers ease their minds about having to find another place to take their deer while also generating new customers for years to come.

Wishing all the hunters good luck tomorrow.
I only have about 10 spots left until I meet my quota for the season so if you are lucky enough to shoot a big buck give me a call (616-761-2992).
I will be hunting all day tomorrow myself unless I get one early in the day. Calls will be returned in the order that they were received.
