Statewide, septic tanks are the second-largest source of pollution to Florida’s freshwater springs, followed only by agriculture.

A project to reduce nutrient pollution in two of Central Florida’s freshwater springs is now complete. Orange County staff and partners gathered Wednesday to celebrate the culmination of the septic-to-sewer conversion project in Pine Hills.

The project brought 95 properties — 30 residential and 65 commercial — onto the county’s centralized sewer system. All previously relied on septic tanks.

Appointments will be booked on a first come, first serve basis. Spaces are limited!
* The $25 is refundable if no other services are needed.
**Missed appointments or not canceling within 48 hours will result in forfeit of the deposit.

⚠️ Danger: 106°F = Heatstroke

It only takes a 4-degree increase for a dog to go from healthy to life-threatening heatstroke—and death can occur quickly without treatment.

🚨 Tips to Prevent Heatstroke:
*Never leave your dog in a parked car even is in a shade area with windows cracked open.
*Provide shade and fresh water at all times.
*Avoid walks during peak heat hours.
Know the warning signs: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting.
