Anyone interested in picking up from Taveres and fostering this poor 2 month old Hound mixed pup that was found with an embedded collar (yes, at only 2 months old!). Vet did surgery and sutures today.... just needs to heal and know he's loved by someone. 😢

"I have an 11 month old male American Bulldog, up to date on all shots and neutered, that I cannot keep. I have a newborn baby and an 84 year old mother with dementia in the house- my mother has recently greatly declined, and the demands on my time have changed drastically. Louie is a good boy, and a very smart dog, but I can’t give him what he needs. Our current situation isn’t fair to him or us.
We are so sad that we find ourselves in this situation.
Louie is 11 months, 70 lbs. His temperament is good, very sweet, not aggressive at all. He is very smart, very high energy, and always wants to play, always wants to be where we are. He has typical puppy chewing tendencies, loves every stick, lol. Louie really is a good dog. When my mom moved in, it just became difficult to give him all the attention he needs, and he deserves more than what I can give. He loves kids, and gets along well with our older dog."

"I’m reaching out because I need help finding a new home for my dog. I want to keep him but I know someone out there could better suit his needs

He is mixed with Rhodesian ridgeback, he’s between 60-70 pounds and just a little over a year old. He is the sweetest and smartest boy but unfortunately he’s a bit big for my home and a bit too strong for me. He’s very protective of me and seems to get nervous around men occasionally. He loves to give kisses though it’s his favorite pastime. He’s very easily distracted and only partially trained on the leash, he’s usually good on the leash but only if there isn’t any triggers like animals or people, he just wants to play and be friends with everyone however that makes it hard to walk him because of how strong he is. He was very attached to his previous owner before him and Im sure the transition from her to me was a slight bit traumatic for him so that is why I'm choosing to come to a rescue instead of the local pound or anything. Im worried they might deem him dangerous because he does tend to get nervous around men which causes him to sometimes growl and show his teeth out of fear. I truly love him so much and he really feels like my baby. I really have connected with him but sadly I don’t think I can gives him all he deserves. He would love a yard because he has so much energy and someone who’s willing to give him a lot of attention and train him well because he loves to play as well as he’s insanely smart. He doesn’t love being alone but he is crate trained and housebroken of course."

Still no home! Even his mom got adopted yesterday(so happy about that!). He is the last of 11 pups that we took in about a month and a half ago! He can't grow up here. He needs his own permanent family home. We thought he was getting adopted over the weekend but the people didn't come meet him. What an awesome pup to not have a home...such a shame. :-/. He will be a small medium size (like his mom). His loving home is out there somewhere. Hopefully he will be cuddling in on the couch with his new family soon enough!
