🍊🐾 MEET CLEMENTINE

Some dogs are ready to take on the world. Clementine? She's just hoping the world will be a little gentler with her. 🥹

At just 2 years old and 10 pounds, this precious little Rat Terrier is one of 14 dogs we rescued from the heartbreaking hoarding case involving 85 dogs in Lake County.

And she's slowly discovering that life can actually be pretty wonderful! 💕

❤️ Snuggling? PROFESSIONAL LEVEL. If you've got a lap, Clementine would like to reserve it indefinitely.

🏡 House manners? She's already making impressive progress!

🐶 Other dogs? She's learning! She can be protective of her space and food, so she'll need understanding and thoughtful introductions.

🦮 Walks? ABSOLUTELY NOT. 😂 The sight of a harness sends her into panic mode, and her current preferred transportation is being carried like the tiny princess she is. For this reason, we are looking for adopters with a fenced yard.

🥹 Confidence? Growing every day! Her foster family says her silly, playful personality is starting to shine through as she learns to feel safe.

Clementine doesn't need someone who expects perfection. She needs someone who understands that trust is earned, fears take time to overcome, and the tiniest victories deserve the biggest celebrations. ❤️

She's already survived the hard part of her story. Now she just needs someone willing to help her write the happy ending. 🏡🐾

Could that someone be you?

📣 Please SHARE! Her perfect person might be just one share away!

❤️🐾Home Furever Home❤️🐾

Bubbles watched as her PowerPuff sisters, Blossom and Buttercup, found their forever families. One by one, they went home while our sweet Bubbles continued waiting for her turn.

After spending months in boarding, Bubbles finally got her big break when a wonderful family opened their home to foster her. And the best part? She was joining TWO Hunter's Village Rescue alumni! 🐾❤️

As the weeks went by, we noticed something funny. Every time we asked for updates and information to help keep Bubbles' adoption bio current, there seemed to be a little hesitation. 🤔😂

Well, now we know why!

Turns out, Bubbles wasn't waiting for her forever home anymore.

SHE WAS ALREADY HOME! 🏡💕

Bubbles fit so perfectly into her new family, both with her four-legged siblings AND her human siblings, that the decision was unanimous. Nobody could imagine life without her!

And what better way to celebrate our little Bubbles than with photos from our recent costume contest, where she dressed as.…A BUBBLE BATH! 🛁🫧😂

From the last Powerpuff Girl waiting for her happy ending to the newest member of a family already filled with HVR love, Bubbles has officially found where she belongs.

Happy adoption, sweet girl! Your sisters may have gotten there first, but your happily ever after was worth the wait! 💗🐾

🐾❤️ Home Furever Home ❤️🐾

We love and respect when a family wants to take dog ownership slow and decides to sign up to Foster to see if they are ready. And it’s the best feeling ever when their Foster dog makes the decision for them! 🥹

Meet Pepper, now officially known as Kuzco! 🐶💙

When this sweet family's neighborhood page shared that Hunter's Village Rescue was in need of fosters, they decided to take a chance. With three children (ages 14, 6, and 3), two parents who work from home, and a fenced backyard, they had been considering adding a dog to their family for some time.
They had plenty of experience dog-sitting for friends, and the kids were already accustomed to helping with feeding and walks. But they wanted to make sure they were truly ready for a dog of their own.

Enter Pepper. ❤️

Now, it wasn't necessarily love at first sight for everyone. Pepper needed a little extra time to feel comfortable with Dad and his oldest human brother. But this family didn't rush him. They showed him patience, kindness, and unconditional love, allowing him to build trust at his own pace.

And wouldn't you know it? That little foster dog worked his way into EVERYONE'S heart. 🥹

When it came time to decide whether Pepper should officially join the family, the vote was UNANIMOUS! 🎉

Pepper, now Kuzco, isn't just their first foster dog, he's their very first family dog! 🏡❤️

We couldn't be happier for this sweet boy and his wonderful new family!

And to think, it all started with a neighborhood Facebook post asking for help. This is the magic of fostering. Sometimes you're giving a dog a temporary place to land. And sometimes you're welcoming home the family member you didn't even know you were missing. 🐾
Happy tails, Kuzco! We love you! ❤️
