First time momma doesn't have a very strong instinct. She hasn't pulled any fur and isn't nursing so we're helping her figure it out. The other dwarf litter was born on the wire so we don't currently have foster options. Raising rabbits is not for the faint of heart. It isn't easy. It isn't fun dealing with the issues of dwarfism the Netherlands and other dwarf breeds have. It's early mornings & late evenings tending bunnies and taking momma and newborn kit with you on your vacation to the dog show to make sure they'll be ok.

I'll tell you what, Everbreed customer service is PHENOMENAL!! I received a notification that a rabbit was transferred. I replied with a question and had a reply in less than 5 minutes! Talk about customer service AND Tech Support!!!

PSA for anyone who doesn't know danger signs of overheating rabbits, especially babies...if they have wet mouths they're in the danger zone. It's 98 here and I have a couple nestbox litters. Went to check and found some overheating. Picture to show what wet mouth looks like.
