I’ve had some questions about the branding pen style breakaway roping so here’s the low down:

The cattle are numbered and once you ride across a chalk line your time begins and your number is called. You rope your number dally and break off, rebuild and rope in ascending order. Highest number of cattle roped within the time limit wins. In case of tie we go off of your time when your first one is roped.Chasing or loping gets whistled out no exceptions.
