A difficult announcement. ❤️
After much thought, prayer, and a few tears, I have made the decision to close Pups, Mutts & Misfits on July 2, 2026.
Many of you know that I have been living with metastatic breast cancer. Recently, it has become clear that I need to slow down and focus more of my energy on my health and my family.
When I started Pups, Mutts & Misfits, I simply wanted to create a place where dogs felt like they were staying at Grandma’s house instead of a kennel. A place where owners could travel, work, or spend time with family knowing their dogs were safe, loved, and cared for.
What I didn’t expect was how much your dogs would become part of my life.
I’ve laughed at puppy mischief, celebrated goofy personalities, handed out more treats than I should probably admit, and loved every opportunity to care for your four-legged family members.
To every family who trusted me with their dogs: thank you. Your support, friendship, encouragement, and loyalty have meant more than words can express.
While this chapter is coming to an end, I will always be grateful for the dogs, memories, and friendships that came from it.
Please give your pups an extra hug from me tonight. ❤️🐾
With love and gratitude,
Chris
