My sweet Reuben..Ruby Ru..RuRu..Reuben-Con! I had to help my Senior Reuben cross yesterday. My poor old man's hips finally gave out! Absolutely broke my heart! He was about 14 years old.
He was another Pinehurst Shelter fella that was just suppose to be at my home to heal from a leg injury that occurred at the Shelter. We had a female fence climber in the Shelter. She just happened to climb into Ruby's kennel and the hefer started gnawing on his leg. I was there at the Shelter by myself and ended up having to beat the female off of him with a dog bowl. 🥴
Of course my heart wouldn't let me return him to the Shelter, so he became my personal guy!
Reuben was a Pittie/Lab mix! He was the most awesome dog. Always had to lay under our feet when we played pool! Loved to lick your head when we were swimming. I was sad to see that I didn't have many pics of him in his Golden Years.😢
Our Pets just don't live long enough..but it was time!
It's not goodbye Reub..it's a see you later handsome Boy!💙💙

IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING OR HEAR ANYTHING ON WHO DID THIS, PLEASE PRIVATE MESSAGE ME!

I have busted my ass for 3 days trying to secure 8 Bottle Feeding puppies that were dumped in a box in a neighborhood. I have spent $500.00 today running around getting Supplies and delivering everything to everybody. I am finally on my way home to take care of my own 11 dogs and I get a phone call from Pinehurst Animal Control stating that someone dumped 7 puppies by Kays Hair Salon in Pinehurst in a Tote. These puppies are now sitting in the Shelter. I JUST CAN'T...PEOPLE!
I AM SO FRIGGIN UPSET RIGHT NOW! WE HAVE SOME REAL LOSERS IN THIS TOWN!

You know..I always say that there is a person in this world for every single Rescue Dog. They are like Humans, we are all different and nobody is perfect..but we all have good qualities in us.
I have now had Red at the Pinehurst Animal Shelter in Orange, Texas for almost 3 years. That is almost 1,095 days he has been stuck in a 3x4 cubicle at a Shelter on concrete.
Well let me take that back..for about 7 days the Humane Society gave him a try. Red didn't adapt well and I went to pick him up! Broke my heart to see how happy he was to go back to that dreaded 3x4 cubicle.
I brought him to All Paws for an injury that occurred to his leg. During his stay there, a Tech offered to take Red home to Foster him. Red really took to Ashley. Unfortunately after several weeks, I went and picked Red up. He just didn't like Ashley's roommate.🫤
I'm going to share the type of person that I think would be perfect for Red. I'm thinking a single female that lives alone. Someone that doesn't have a lot of Company with a secure fenced in yard. Someone that just has patience to understand him. If he likes you, you have a friend for life. Red has been neutered and was updated on all Vaccines, but he is due Annuals now. He was Heartworm negative and was given a Proheart. That is due as well.
So far he seems to get along with other dogs. I'm not sure about cats. I have put a video under comments of Ashley teaching him how to sit for a treat.
I just know there is someone out there that is perfect for Red.
If you think you might be that person, please give me a shout. Three years is a long time!!! This is no place for a Dog to live his life.

Mr. Cowboy! My little pancaker!
Being that Cowboy, his Mom Nelda & Siblings have been stuck in a kennel 24/7 for the past 2 months..he didn't know how to act when the kennel door was opened and he had an opportunity to run. Pancaking was all he would do or Belly crawl to us!🥺
As you can see things changed and he stood proud and smiled. I am working on Donations to have all of these pups vetted as soon as possible. At that time I will learn a lot more to share with you!

This is Ms. Nelda!🩷
Nelda is the Mother to three other pups at the Pinehurst Animal Shelter in Orange, Texas.
Zelda and her pups all ended up in the Shelter due to irresponsible humans.
She seems to be s very well behaved girl! I don't know much else about her..I are reestablishing myself with everyone there.
I am working on raising funds to have her Spayed and updated on all Vaccines.

Everyone meet Mr. Nacho! I'm told that Nacho was adopted from the Humane Society, I think a few months ago.
He is roughly 6-7 months old. I'm also told he has been neutered.
Supposedly Adopters realized that they just don't have the time for him.
They are looking for him a new home!

We are on the look out for anybody that possibly saw the cowards that left these puppies in a kennel on the side of the road in Pinehurst at Pheasant & 33rd St.
