Come celebrate 25 years of the Dog Park at Yorba Park, aka the Orange Dog Park. The Orange Parks & Events Foundation is marking the silver anniversary with one heck of a party.

This is the OPEF model in action: create a better experience around a public asset, generate revenue from that activity, and use a portion of it to offset costs that would otherwise be paid with taxpayer dollars.

Better experience. Stronger community. Less pressure on the General Fund.

It has been months since I've seen dog p**p on the blacktop outside the dog park entrances.

That isn't an accident.

A huge thank you to for sponsoring the waste station and supplying the bags in our common area.

Just as importantly, thank you to everyone who takes a few extra seconds to pick up after their pups. The bags are there because of Ugly Dog Adventures. The clean walkways are because our community uses them.

It's a simple partnership with a real impact.

If you're looking for pack walks, boarding, or training, please keep UDA in mind. When local businesses invest in our community, and neighbors do their part, everyone benefits.

Thank you, Ugly Dog Adventures, for helping make our dog park a little cleaner, one bag at a time.

Community partnerships work. This is proof.

When I walked into the Park today, I was proceeded into the large breed section by 3 dogs, average weight, about 13 pounds. Not a one was with a large breed dog.

Treats and food of any kind have always been prohibited inside the Orange Dog Park. This is not a new rule. It is basic dog park etiquette.

As trainer Jas Leverette recently put it:

"You don't know if that dog has a chicken allergy or this allergy or that allergy. It just comes down to being considerate."

Some dogs have allergies.
Some dogs are on medication.
Some dogs are on veterinary diets.
Some dogs are in training. Some have food issues.
Some owners simply do not want strangers feeding their animals.

If you choose to bring treats into the Park anyway, please be respectful of other people's animals and always ask permission before offering anything to a dog that is not yours.

The goal is simple:

A safe, enjoyable experience for every dog and every owner.

WHERE MY PUPPLES AT?!?!

This Saturday, June 6th at 4:00 PM, PawRadar's founder and team will be visiting Yorba Dog Park to capture photos and video for upcoming launches, promotions, and future features.

We're looking to showcase what makes this park special:

Dogs being dogs.
People finding their people.
The occasional chaos goblin chasing squirrels with unreasonable confidence.

If you've got some time, swing by.

Let's show them what a real dog community looks like.

Bring your pup.
Bring your friends.
Bring your Pupple.

And if your dog thinks they're the main character, Saturday might be their big break.

It’s not every company, but you know exactly the ones we’re talking about.

They walk in with 3 dogs each, then one handler heads back to the vehicle to bring in 3 or 4 more. Meanwhile, there are a few 10-15 pound dogs mixed into a crowded large-breed off-leash environment.

That is not what the Park is for.

Orange Dog Park has a strict 3:1 dog-to-person ratio for a reason: Safety. Control. Accountability.

To the companies: The Park exists for the public first, not as an overflow workspace for commercial dog-walking operations.

This is a shared public space, not a bulk dog-walking route.

Please respect the rules and the people who use the Park responsibly.
