Friends of Orange Cove Animal Shelter A networking page for animals at the Orange Cove, CA municipal pound. We also share lost/found animals in and around the city of Orange Cove.

FOCAS is responsible for sheltering animals impounded by the city of Orange Cove. The fee to reclaim owned pets is $10 per day, not including the day of impound. We DO NOT provide animal control services. For Animal Control issues, please call the city of Orange Cove at 559-626-4488.

Going to start this bit of a long post, by thanking all the wonderful people in our community whom care about the dumping of dogs in the surrounding areas outside of Orange Cove. We were made aware of the following post of a dumped dog and saw also saw the image of another picture where a coyote was so close to the dog. Many people stopped to feed it. Many people tried picking it up to take home. I think it’s amazing that so many people took the time to feed this dog and cared so much 🥰. But I’d also like to remind everyone that the dog was still on private property and we should be considerate of the trash we leave for this dog or any in the future. If your leaving bags of dog food or cans please take into consideration that becomes trash for the owner of the fruit orchard. It takes teamwork. As I mentioned before I witnessed so many wonderful people dropping off food for this dog , it was amazing. Next time, since we all know there will be a next time. If your a person dropping off food and see trash pertaining to the feeding of such a dog.. simply pick it up. I’m happy to announce This Dog was secured and is safe now. Thank you everyone who posted fed and kept an eye out for this poor Pup. (Special Thanks to PROUD)
