This little cutie has officially mastered the art of being adorable without even trying. We’re not sure if it’s sass, silliness, or mid-meow—but either way, we’re obsessed. 💕

Thank you so much for your glowing review 🎉
We are so glad to hear about your experience and it encourages us to continue providing the excellent care we’re passionate about!

"I just recently switched vets to start coming here from Cleveland, and I’m so glad I did. My one dog was having stomach issues for months, and after coming here and being given the correct treatment he has now gone over 2 months with no episodes.

I just recently began bringing my other dog here too and even as anxious as he is, he does so well because of how amazing their approach is to different types of pets and their temperaments. Everyone here is so sweet, from all the doctors, to the techs and receptionists. I never have to question my pets care and I’m so glad to have found their new permanent vet. Me, Beau, and Ryker appreciate all of you!" - SI

Here at AMP, we're dedicated to keeping your furry family members healthy and happy!

Heartworms are a serious and potentially fatal parasitic disease for dogs and cats. Understanding their life cycle is key to prevention:

🐾 Mosquito Bite: It all starts when a mosquito bites an infected animal, picking up microscopic heartworm larvae called microfilariae.
🐾 Larval Development: Inside the mosquito, these larvae mature into an infective stage over 10-14 days.
🐾 Infection: When that infected mosquito bites your pet, the infective larvae are deposited onto your pet's skin and enter the bloodstream through the bite wound.
🐾 Migration & Maturation: These larvae then migrate through your pet's body, eventually reaching the heart and pulmonary arteries, where they mature into adult worms over 6-7 months.
🐾 Adult Worms & Reproduction: Adult heartworms can live for 5-7 years in dogs and 2-3 years in cats, reproducing and releasing new microfilariae into the bloodstream, continuing the cycle.

The good news? Heartworm disease is almost 100% preventable!

Don't wait until it's too late! Talk to our team today about the best heartworm prevention plan for your pet. We're here to answer all your questions and help you keep your furry friend heartworm-free!

07/21/2025

Cats are usually very tidy creatures, so when your kitty starts having accidents outside the litter box, it’s their way of sending you a message. Here’s what might be going on:

🐾 Medical Issues: Urinary tract infections, kidney problems, or pain can make it uncomfortable for them to use the box. Always check with your vet first!

🐾 Stress or Anxiety: Changes in the household—new pets, guests, or even moving furniture—can upset your cat’s routine. They might be feeling insecure or stressed.

🐾 Litter Box Preferences: Is the box clean? Too small? In a noisy or hard-to-access spot? Cats are picky! Try different litter types or more boxes in quiet areas.

🐾 Marking Territory: Sometimes it’s not about the box at all, but about marking their space—especially if there are other pets around.

🐾 Age or Mobility: Older cats or those with arthritis might have trouble getting into or out of the box. A lower-sided box might help.

If your cat’s behavior changes, be patient and observant. Your vet can help find the root cause and get your kitty comfortable again. 💕

Summer sunshine means more walks—but did you know hot pavement can seriously hurt your dog’s paws? Asphalt and concrete can heat up quickly and cause painful burns.

Here’s how to keep your furry friend safe:
🔥 Walk during cooler times — early mornings or evenings
🔥 Test the pavement with the back of your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws
🔥 Consider dog booties for extra protection
🔥 Always bring water to keep your pup hydrated and happy

Your pup’s paws are sensitive—let’s keep those summer walks paw-sitive and pain-free!
