As part of our commitment to transparency and community engagement, ARC shares a weekly “Call for Community Support” on social media.

This post features animals who:
• Are struggling in the shelter environment
• May have medical and/or behavioral challenges
• Urgently need support from the community

***Animals in this post require ADOPTION OR RESCUE commitment by 5pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.***

Timely community response can directly impact their outcome. If an animal’s condition or behavior continues to decline without an adopter or a rescue partner committing by the stated deadline, humane euthanasia may be considered.

Our goal is to provide a clearer understanding of the challenges animals face in the shelter environment, and the role public support can play in helping them find the right placement.

If you’ve considered adopting from ARC or becoming a rescue partner, we’d love to connect with you. Sharing these posts can also help connect an animal with the right person!

Interested parties are encouraged to visit the shelter or contact us ASAP!

📢 New Hours Starting August 1! 🐾
ARC is updating our public hours to better support daily operations and the care of animals at our center.

NEW HOURS
🚫 Monday: Closed to the public
🐶 Tuesday–Sunday: Open 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

While we’ll be closed to visitors on Mondays, our team will still be onsite caring for animals, completing important behind-the-scenes work, and preparing the center for the week ahead.

🚨 WARNING: Two professional goofballs have entered the play yard. 🐶
 
Ozzy (A009049) + Nelson (A008449) became instant besties this week! These two young pups love their zoomies and goofy smiles. 
 
Ozzy was left behind when his human moved away, and Nelson came back to ARC after his family lost their housing. Now these two social, playful pups are hoping for families who will give them the love, patience, and home they deserve. ❤️
 
They’re feeling stressed here and need to find their people ASAP. Could Ozzy or Nelson be your new best friend? 🏡🐾

Thank you to everyone who joined us for ARC's 1st Anniversary Open House & Vendor Fair. Your support made it a day to remember!

❤️ 21 pets found homes: 18 adoptions + 3 foster-to-adopt placements
✂️ 15 dogs and 25+ cats received free grooming from volunteer groomers
🎪 7 local vendors joined us and connected with our community

Meet our newest employee: Senior Pawject Manager Pepper. 🐾💼

Pepper was feeling overwhelmed and shaking in his kennel, so our team invited him into the office for a quiet workday.

We’re happy to report that he received an outstanding purrformance review!

At just 10 months old, Pepper is a little shy at first, but once he settles in, he’s sweet, gentle, and loves pets and attention.

Come meet Pepper! He’s currently looking for a promotion to Chief Happiness Officer in a forever home. ❤️🏡
