In July I gave a presentation for Presque Isle District Library about bird beak adaptations. I shared the book "A Peek at Beaks" by Sarah Levine. With permission from the DNR to use a wide variety of taxidermy and frozen specimens, the audience helped classify what sort of tool each bird presented used. Everyone got to see (and touch!) birds up close although Fred the peacock was a favorite (thank you, Mo). Thank you for the photos, Miss Kelly! Nicole Griewahn

Another way to donate to the veteran hunt! I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

Tomorrow morning we are headed to Gwinn MI for the Aspen Thicket Grouse Dogs LLC event. This event raises money for an all veterans hunt in the grouse woods. I would love to make a donation to Dennis in honor of scbd. If you would like to donate to the vets hunt please do so by going to our website. Somewhere in the comment put vets hunt. You know i love it when my scbd army helps not just the dogs but everything were involved in. I will cut Dennis a check sunday before I leave with the donations made. Thank you in advance.

We will be speaking at seminars and taking folks out on grouse with their dogs. So honored to be part of this. This will be the third year in a row for us.

I will have my phone but I will be busy. My sister will be taking care of dogs. Salem will be going with me. A couple clients dogs too.

Saw whet owl compared to a mallard skull. Owls are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, as are migratory birds such as mallards, but owls can only be possessed such as an educational facility.
