🐾 COURTESY POST 🐾 Just look at this beautiful girl!! Calling GSD people! 📢@

Madres Mutts is helping spread the word for Gemma and her owner during a difficult time. While Gemma is not a Madres Mutts dog, we’re using our platform to help her find the right home.

Meet Gemma ❤️

Gemma is a beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a serious weakness for French fries. This affectionate girl is a total cuddle bug who loves being close to her people and soaking up all the attention she can get.

When she’s not snuggling, Gemma enjoys playing fetch, going on hikes, exploring on car rides, and burning off energy outdoors. She is crate trained and does wonderfully in her crate—sometimes even choosing it as her favorite place to relax.

Having been raised on a 7-acre farm, Gemma hasn’t had extensive formal training and would benefit from an owner who understands shepherd breeds and is willing to continue helping her learn and grow. She can be selective with other animals and would likely do best as the only pet in the home or with someone experienced in proper introductions and management.

Gemma is looking for a home where she can be a beloved companion, get plenty of exercise and enrichment, and receive the guidance she needs to thrive. In return, she’ll offer loyalty, affection, and endless love.

If you’re looking for an active adventure buddy who also happens to be an expert cuddler, Gemma may be your perfect match.

Please send Madres Mutts a private message, and we’ll connect you directly with her owner for more information.

Dog lovers, we need you. 🐾💜 This IS time sensitive.

These sweet pups have already been through more than they should have, and now they need a safe place to land while they wait for their forever families.

Fostering truly saves lives. Even opening your home for a short time gives a dog the chance to decompress, learn what love looks like, and avoid the stress of staying in a kennel environment.

We’re urgently looking for foster homes throughout Western Washington. Supplies, support, and guidance are provided every step of the way.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign. Please send us a message to learn more. And if you can’t foster right now, sharing this post could help these puppies find the people they need. 🐶✨

See this post? Please share it. 🐾 You never know who needs this reminder today—and that simple share could save a life.

Not every rescue day is dramatic. Some days are simply about getting dogs where they’re meant to be. 🐾

Today, River and Victor were on the move toward their next chapters. Victor headed to a wonderful home in Centralia with acres of land to explore, while River made her way to a loving home in Westport, where beach days are in her future. 🌲🌊

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. We wish you nothing but the best sweet babies. We can’t wait to watch your new adventures unfold. ❤️

🐾 Behind the Scenes of Rescue: A Few Things You Might Not Know 🐾

People often see the cute photos and happy adoption updates, but there is so much that happens behind the scenes to help our dogs find the right homes.

📖 Fact #1: Writing bios takes time!
Every dog is different, and we put a lot of thought into creating bios that honestly reflect each dog’s personality, needs, and quirks. We want adopters to have a realistic understanding of who that dog is so we can help make the best possible match—for both the dog and the family.

🚗 Fact #2: We travel.
For the right fit, we’ll often meet adopters halfway—or even make the full trip ourselves. This is especially important for dog-to-dog introductions or for shy and shut-down dogs who may need a little extra support. We want to help set everyone up for success and make sure our dogs are comfortable every step of the way.

📸 Fact #3: Pictures matter!
Those adorable photos you see didn’t happen by accident! We may take 40 pictures of one dog just to get that one special shot that truly captures their personality. Sometimes that means squeaky toys, treats, making ridiculous noises, or accepting that the dog’s best angle might just be mid-zoomies. 😂

So today, we thought we’d share a few behind-the-scenes moments of what it really looks like trying to get that “one good picture.”

Thank you for supporting our rescue, sharing our posts, cheering us on, and helping us advocate for these deserving dogs. Every share, every foster, every adopter, and every supporter truly makes a difference. ❤️🐾

Calling all animal lovers! ❤️🐾

This sweet boy is 1.5 years old, about 45 pounds, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. The most amazing part? He’s deaf and absolutely wonderful with kids and chickens!

Being deaf doesn’t hold dogs back. In many ways, they become even more in tune with their people. Instead of verbal cues, they learn through hand signals, guidance, consistency, and trust. It simply takes a little patience and understanding.

He’s currently being fostered up north but will be transferring to the Auburn area soon. He would really love a family to call his own.

If you’re interested in meeting him or learning more, please send us a message. He is currently unknown with cats.
