Please keep our dear friend Frankie in your prayers while she navigates her recent cancer diagnosis. Frankie has been a huge part of Madres mutts, fostering countless urgent listed dogs, bringing them in her home, fixing their broken little souls, and making them ready for their amazing forever homes. Dogs that never had a chance to make it out of the shelter without Frankie taking a chance on them💓

We love this big hearted human, and want to support her in every way possible. There aren’t enough Frankie’s in the rescue world! We are so grateful for any donations made towards her go fund me, please share far and wide!🙏🏼❤️

🐾 MEET DJANGO! 🐾

Every once in a while, a dog comes along who makes writing an adoption post pretty darn easy because there just isn’t a big “but…” to explain. 😂

Django is about a year old, around 65 pounds, and by all accounts, he’s a pretty turnkey kind of guy. ❤️

He loves walks and playing outside. He loves other dogs, big and small. He’s been around kids of all ages, men, women, and even an impressive assortment of farm animals including chickens, turkeys, pigs and horses. And when the fun is over? Django is perfectly happy to settle in, snuggle up and spend a lazy day at home with his people.

He’s crate trained, sleeps comfortably in his crate at night, does well there when his people leave to run errands, and he’s not much of a noise maker either.

So why does such a good boy need a new home?

Simply because his family’s living situation is changing. There’s no big behavioral issue hiding behind the curtain. Django just needs a new family to call his own.

At only about a year old, he has a whole lot of life ahead of him and would love to spend it with people who will include him in theirs. 🥹🐾

🐾 WE NEED FOSTERS TO KEEP SAYING YES. 🐾

We’ve been lucky enough to share some pretty wonderful success stories lately. Dogs finding their people. Dogs getting their fresh start. Dogs finally getting the life they deserve. ❤️

And we want to create more of them.

There are dogs right now that we would love to help, but there’s one thing standing in the way:

We need foster homes.

Every open foster home gives us another opportunity to say YES to a dog who needs us. Without somewhere safe for that dog to land, our hands are tied, no matter how badly we want to help.

You don’t have to commit to adopting. You don’t have to be a dog expert. You just need a safe home, some patience and a willingness to give a dog a place to land while we work on finding their forever family. 🏡🐾

And right now, we have several dogs we’d love to help if we can find the right fosters for them.

A certified snuggler with an adventurous side. Gemma makes a great car buddy and is ready to go wherever life takes you. She’d currently do best as your one and only or with very slow introductions to another dog.

Smart, athletic and ready to GO. Dezi would thrive with someone who has shepherd experience and could make an incredible agility partner, hiking buddy or adventure sidekick.

Saturday 8/29 Update: HOORAY!! Rufus is going on an adoption trial. Thank you all so much for your attention and support for Rufus. Will keep you posted 🫶🏻

🚨 URGENT: RUFUS NEEDS A FOREVER HOME ASAP🚨

At 14 years old, Rufus is about to lose the only home he has ever known. His owner, who has had him since he was a puppy, is hospitalized and will not be coming home. The house must be sold, and Rufus needs his next forever person. 💔

Don’t let his age fool you! He still loves chasing his frisbee, being outside and spending time with his person. 💙

🐾 Recent vet visit & clean bill of health for his age
🐾 Best with calm, lower-energy dogs
🐾 Cats: UNKNOWN
