Hi. I haven't been very active in my pet sitting (by choice) but if anyone needs pet SITTING (not dog walking on the regular while you are in town but working; I don't do that), please reach out.

Summer weeks that I am NOT available:
First two weekends in June
July 19-26 (entire week)
One full week in August (not sure which one yet)

Attention all clients, my summer is filling up fast. August is booked. HMU if you need pet sitting for June or July. If you have a small dog, I may be able to host. I have to ask my two new dogs. They are in charge.

(We lost our beloved Tyson in October 2022 and our beloved Jupiter the year before.)

We have two new babies: Blu the Fireplace Dog, a 5 YO coonhound (if you follow KNINE Rescue you'll know who I'm talking about; he's a LOVE!) and Bear the Beagle (adopted through BREW Rockville) who is 2-5 and acts about 6 mos old.

Again, offering pet sitting services this summer but slots are filling fast and I don't typically take on more than one job at a time. Yes, your babies are THAT PRECIOUS to me. They need my full attention and energy! And I need to have a summer, too. ;)

Note: I don't do weekday dog-walking; ONLY true pet-sitting. (I have pets of my own who get walked several times a day, and I work full time from home, so, no time to walk others' dogs unless I am pet sitting and even then it has to be short, 20 min or less.)

Now accepting pet sitting clients for overnights in my home for the short-term future. Not quite ready to foster or adopt. But yes to pet sitting, and I work from home most days!

Our beloved Tyson passed away last week. Our large, split-level colonial home remains fully equipped for dog sitting — filled with dog beds, gates, crates, water bowls, treats, and love! We haven’t been a dog-free house since Dec 1999. To say I’m having a hard time is putting it mildly. And it hasn’t even been a week. 😢🐶❤️

Please message me for rates and details! I’m ready to host your fur babies (Tyson, don’t be mad at me up there at the Rainbow Bridge, ok?)

Disclaimer: Backyard is not fenced in. But deck is very securely gated and I’d be taking them out on leash for potty breaks (vs letting out into a fenced backyard).

Availability is immediate for work weeks. Weekend availability starts the weekend of Nov 19 w/ exception being thanksgiving. We are traveling then.

Tagging some of my pet/rescue/sanctuary peeps. Hit me up if you hear of someone looking for a pet sitter who can host!

Clients and friends: Although I cannot do anything pet related in October, I am accepting overnights and daytime visits for the month of November -- except for Thanksgiving Weekend cuz it's my birthday weekend and WE'RE traveling, too! ;)

Feel free to reach out if you need some pet sitting AT YOUR HOME ONLY (I do not do boarding because my dog won't let me).

I do not do multiple long daytime walks. Just check-ins, brief let-outs, feeding/watering, and overnights.

Announcement to my clients:

***I will not be doing overnights during the months of September and October.***

I will be out of town a lot during those months, and I also just want to sleep in my own bed and see my family (who is convinced that I have been abducted by aliens that look strangely canine in appearance). Ha ha!

I am, however, available to do daytime visits and short (< 15 min) walks (one max per day). No long walks. I work full time M-F, from home, as an editor, so I just am not available for long, exercise-type walks.

Wow! It's been a busy summer and it's only slightly more than halfway over!

I am FULLY BOOKED for the entire rest of the summer. Thanks to all who have reached out and either booked my services or chatted with me (even if the timing didn't work out this time around).

If you reach out to me, I will do my best to get back to you as soon as I can, but it will be to refer you to other sitters. I can't BELIEVE how busy I've been - well, yes, I can: We are all finally enjoying traveling again.

I appreciate you all, and check back with me after September 15, when availability may open back up again.

Thank you for trusting me with your fur-babies. I've been having SO much fun and taking good care of 'em, promise! Photos will follow soon.

I'm currently enjoying time with two of the cutest French bulldogs you'll ever meet. And next up? GUS the sweet senior black lab. Can't wait to hang with that guy.
