Pups will get tails done tomorrow (Monday) we had to put it off because I was giving mom a daily dewormer to be proactive. It made the pups have diarrhea and that is no bueno for possibility of infection in the tails. Stools are now normal after giving round the clock meds to babies.

Well it’s been a busy night. She went into stage 1 labor yesterday at 3 pm had them in the wee hours of the morning today. We had 11 in total… one was born sleeping, and we are left with 10! There are 7 boys, 3 girls. Thoughts and prayers appreciated for 2 very small babies.

She is now day 58, and can safely deliver at anytime!

Well… the count is in. We are expecting 12/13 pups minimum. My doctor is great, he will be on call for me, I’ve got my oxytocin shots ready for her since it’s a significantly large litter. The possibility of more is definitely there because of overlapping spines and skulls. It’s going to be a lot of work and praying all goes well for a healthy mom and pups!
