A Moment For Sally Ike: A true legend of American eventing, Sally Ike’s remarkable career spans more than five decades—as a competitor, official, administrator, mentor, and advocate for the sport. Sally was there for the very first Essex Horse Trials in 1968, helping prepare the original course, and later returned to play an important role in bringing Essex back to life. She also won Essex herself, riding Roxboro. From competing at iconic events like Badminton and Burghley to leading U.S. teams on the international stage, Sally has dedicated her life to advancing eventing and inspiring generations of riders. We are incredibly proud to celebrate Sally’s 2026 induction into the U.S. Eventing Hall of Fame—a well-deserved honor for a woman whose legacy is woven into the history of American eventing and Essex Horse Trials. ❤️🐴 Congratulations, Sally! If you are looking for a safe, fun and well-rounded first pony for your up and coming rider or a beat friend for a more mature rider, Lulu is your gal. This is a kind, stocky 14’1 hand, 15 yr old mare who tries her best at whatever she is asked. She would be a great cross rail to 2’3 pony for a learning rider. Lulu is the same pony on and off property and is a perfect girl at shows. She is great out of the ring and has fun going cross country. We haven't tried hunting her but imagine she would be a great mount.

Sugar and Spice — 12h Welsh Pony | Lease with Potential to Purchase

Sadly, her rider has outgrown this very special pony, so we are looking for the right next person/family for Sugar.

Sugar is a 12-hand Welsh pony who truly is a do-it-all kind of pony. She has been shown up to 2’3”, and has experience with Pony Club, trail riding, and eventing. She is an incredibly fun and willing partner who is always game to try something new and, most importantly, is a wonderful teacher. She is not a kick ride and has a great pace, for even beginners.

Sugar does have some personality! She can be a little spicy when other horses get into her personal space. She is barefoot and can live out, making her a relatively easy keeper.

For more than five decades, Sally Ike has made an immeasurable impact on the sport of eventing as a rider, official, administrator, educator, and advocate. On Saturday, Aug. 8, Ike was surprised at the Fair Hill International Recognized Horse Trials with the news that she will join the U.S. Eventing Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2026! 🏆
