A Moment For Sally Ike: A true legend of American eventing, Sally Ike’s remarkable career spans more than five decades—as a competitor, official, administrator, mentor, and advocate for the sport. Sally was there for the very first Essex Horse Trials in 1968, helping prepare the original course, and later returned to play an important role in bringing Essex back to life. She also won Essex herself, riding Roxboro. From competing at iconic events like Badminton and Burghley to leading U.S. teams on the international stage, Sally has dedicated her life to advancing eventing and inspiring generations of riders. We are incredibly proud to celebrate Sally’s 2026 induction into the U.S. Eventing Hall of Fame—a well-deserved honor for a woman whose legacy is woven into the history of American eventing and Essex Horse Trials. ❤️🐴 Congratulations, Sally! It is an honor to be connected to you! (📸 from Nancy Jaffer - Sally on Roxboro)
