These precious kittens are from 2 different litters.
The 1st litter of 6 were born on March 12th. These kittens cannot be adopted until May 7th.
The 2nd litter was born on March 21st, they cannot be adopted until May 16th.
You can distinguish the males from the females by seeing a blue or pink marker in the individual pictures. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THESE ADOPTABLE DATES! CALL AND/OR GET AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IN, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! ***The little black n white female of the 2nd litter is no longer adoptable, she has a home waiting for her!
The kittens are litter box trained, already! Drinking water and their baby kitten formula and eating some canned kitten food 💜
They are with a Foster Family now. If your interested in adopting one or two of the kittens together, please go to our website and follow these directions...

UPDATE: This little girls name is Mia. Her owner has been found...We are now looking for a wonderful new home for this sweet pup. Interested or know someone interested, please call The Ark of Hope Rescue and ask for Dianne 301-478-3300.

Does anyone recognize this little girl? She was found at our neighbors house and brought to The Ark. Is she your pup, a friend's, family member or maybe a neighbor's dog? We have her here at The Ark of Hope Rescue. She is small, around 25 pounds, and sweet!!! If you don't want her it's ok she's being taken care of here, we'll find her another good home. She is fed and warm but we would like to have some information about her like her name, age, does she have any shots, spayed. If she's your pup and you want her back or not, OK. Facebook friends... We had someone here doing so work and they "accidentally dug up" the underground water line/boiler line for the heat for the cattery. We need
1 1/2 inch PEX line, about 5+/- feet. The company who makes it says we have to buy a full roll-100 feet, we can't afford that much $! Does anyone have any available? Please contact me ASAP here at The Ark of Hope Rescue. No heat line- no heat!

Facebook friends...this kitty was "put out" and another lady has been trying to find her a home. She can't take her into her home because of her dog. PLEASE someone agree to give this precious girl a warm and loving home, she is spayed and now has a rabies shot. The Ark of Hope Rescue is OVERFLOWING with cats and out of money to care for more. A super nice lady, who has adopted 2 dogs from The Ark of Hope Rescue over the years, has started a fundraiser for The Ark. When she heard how bad we were struggling she contacted us and asked if she could do this to help us start the new year 2026 off with a little help, God bless her heart!
Shannon Thomas went around and got A BUNCH of donations from wonderful people, businesses, friends and family members. There are 30 prizes that you can win! Each day a ticket is picked. PLEASE SHARE AND READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM...
Facebook friends, you know I try not to cry out for help unless I really need it but recently for the past few weeks, things here at The Ark of Hope Rescue have been hard. I've had a stroke...I'm doing better, graduated from a walker to walking with a cane now. My right side is still weak but getting stronger every day. My husband, who is my rock and the strength of The Ark, has gotten some rough medical news. He will be going to John Hopkins on Wednesday the 24th for his 1st surgery. Then after the pathology comes back and a plan made, another surgery will take place soon after. He won't be able to bend over, lift or do anything that will cause pressure to his head. If that isn’t enough for us to worry about here is the rescue’s problem, cold weather will be here before we know it and we heat the kennels and cattery with a wood/coal fired boiler/furnace. Bobby has always taken care of all the firewood over the years but is really stressing that we don't have enough ready to heat the kennels or cattery, until he can get back on his feet! I have purchased and had coal delivered and had some long length slab wood delivered but it needs to be cut up. We have had a lot of people over time say, "if you ever need anything just call." Well, the time has come that we really need some help! If there is any way we could get a few people to come here to the rescue on Saturday the 20th to help cut some wood, WE WOULD APPRECIATE IT MORE THEN YOU'D KNOW, IT WILL TAKE A LITTLE STRESS/PRESSURE OFF OF US. You don't need a chain saw but if you have one and can bring it WONDERFUL! We will also need help moving/stacking the cut wood, even if you can only come out for a few hours. I will be making and providing lunch but need to know if anyone will be able to come out and give us a hand. Please check your schedules and PLEASE let us know if we will see you here. Give us a call 301-478-3300, I’ll give you directions and what time we’ll be starting in the morning, it will be after we open the kennels and take care of the animals. If you know anyone that could lend a hand, an animal loving friend, a teenager that needs community/volunteer hours please invite them too! Sorry I feel like I’m rambling….THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
