Have you ever wondered what would happen if a shark and a puppy somehow combined forces?

Well, wonder no more—meet Ahzo!

At 25 weeks old, Ahzo is equal parts adorable puppy, tiny land shark, and pure chaos wrapped up in one very cute package. This goofy girl is powered almost entirely by zoomies, toys, snacks, and questionable life choices. She approaches every day like it's the best day ever and is always ready to make her own fun.

When she's not busy testing the durability of every toy she can find, Ahzo is handing out puppy kisses, showing off her adorable overbite, and convincing everyone she meets that she absolutely deserves another treat.

She's looking for a forever family that's ready for puppy antics, lots of laughs, and enough energy to keep up with her adventures. Bonus points if there's a dog friend around to help burn off some of that endless puppy energy!

If your home feels a little too quiet, a little too organized, or a little too free of zoomies, Ahzo is ready to fix that. ❤️

🐾 Furball Festival is LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY! 🐾

The countdown is on, and we're busy putting the finishing touches on one of our biggest events of the year! From dog-friendly games and activities to kid-friendly fun, local vendors, live music, food, adoptable animals, and more, it's going to be an incredible day for our community.

As we finalize all of our activity stations, we still have a few last-minute supplies we need. If you'd like to help make Furball Festival 2026 a success, we'd be incredibly grateful for any donations from our Furball Festival Wish List.

Cookie has a very important announcement… 🍪

Today is the day! Our Pop-Up Adoption Event is happening TODAY from 10 AM–12 PM at The Animal Orphanage, and Cookie is excited to meet everyone! ❤️

This sweet, silly girl is hoping to find her forever family and would love the chance to show off her adorable personality. She may be a little shy at first, but give her a minute and she’ll have you smiling in no time.

We’ll have several adoptable dogs from The Animal Orphanage, plus adoptable dogs from Bucksport Animal Shelter and we’ll be joined by The Pixel Fund as well!

🚨 TOMORROW! 🚨

Our Pop-Up Adoption Event is happening tomorrow, and we need your help more than ever.

The shelter is currently FULL of dogs, and many of them have been waiting far too long for a family of their own. Every adoption opens up space for another animal in need and gives a deserving dog a second chance at a happy life.

Whether you're ready to adopt, considering fostering, or simply want to come meet some amazing dogs, we hope you'll stop by and join us.

Can't adopt right now? We are also urgently looking for foster homes for dogs waiting on medical appointments and procedures. Fostering saves lives and gives these dogs a safe, loving place to stay while they wait.
