Many pet owners wonder if microchipping hurts their pet. Because the microchip is very small and the process is quick, most pets tolerate it similarly to a routine vaccination.

Talk with our veterinary team if you have questions about microchipping your pet. 🐾

Today was an incredibly difficult day for all of us at AHOS as we said goodbye to our beloved “Meownager,” Miles.

This loss comes only a few short months after saying goodbye to our sweet house cat, Winnie, and our hearts are feeling that absence deeply.

Miles came to us as an owner surrender, but it didn’t take long for him to completely take over AHOS — and honestly, we wouldn’t have had it any other way. He made sure everyone stayed on schedule (especially when it came to feeding time), supervised patient care with the seriousness only a cat can manage, and somehow always knew exactly when someone needed a cuddle after a hard day.

He was loving, comforting, opinionated, and fully convinced he was being dramatically underfed at all times —

While our hearts are broken, there is comfort in imagining Winnie waiting for him on the other side. She adored him, and we know they are together again.

Thank you, Miles, for every cuddle, every laugh, every loud demand for snacks, and every moment you made AHOS feel a little more like home. We will carry your memory with us in every patient we comfort, every hard day we get through, and every moment around the clinic that reminds us of you.
We will miss you❤️
