Buddy is feeling a little bit better today🐾 Thank you to everyone who has donated to Buddy’s vet care. ❤️🩹
A couple of days ago we got a call from Jamie saying that Buddy was acting sick. We rushed Buddy to the vet. He had an x-ray, an ultrasound, and tests which showed bloating. The vet said it could be Pancreatitis or an issue with his Gallbladder. The vet gave Buddy another medication and put him on a special diet to help with his current condition. Buddy also has severe Lyme disease. His vet bill is over $1,000 and counting. If his condition gets worse he possibly may need a surgery. Buddy has been very lethargic but thanks to his vet and supporters he has been resting comfortably in his rental home.
❤️🩹 We will keep everyone updated on Buddy and his health. If anyone would like to pay the vet directly please send us a Message. Thank you S**o Veterinary Walk-In Care & Animal Hospital of S**ofor taking care of Buddy. 🐾
If you would like to help them here are some ways that you can….

When we met Jamie and his service dog Buddy in July, they were unhoused in Biddeford, Maine. They needed to move their tent because the town was closing down the encampment that they were living in. Jamie and Buddy had been unhoused ever since their house burnt down. Jamie was asking for food for Buddy. They were both struggling in the summer heat. We took them to a hotel and got them food. Thanks to their generous supporters and the help of the town we have kept them housed through the summer, fall, and winter. An anonymous donor split the cost of the rental with us and Jamie until June. We are working with Jamie to get him rental assistance.
