Adopt Tanami!
Affectionately known as Nami, a resilient and energetic little dynamo who has overcome great odds form being found in a neglected state. Her name reflects her journey, derived from the Warlpiri word meaning “never die”. She’s been waiting patiently for her forever home!

Once she warms up to new people with a few tasty snacks, she’s all about cuddles and playtime. A fan of Frisbees and chasing games, Nami thrives on fun with other dogs who enjoy her playful, herding-style energy, and respect her boundaries. Nami loves low-crowd adventures like hiking and sniffy walks, too.

This goofy gremlin is fully house trained & crate trained! She’s searching for a loving home that’s cat-free, full of scritches, and ready for endless fun. Nami’s cartoonish expressions and sideways ear will quickly win over your heart!

Visit the OK Humane Adoption Center today at 7500 N Western Ave. or email [email protected] if interested in adopting. The adoption center is open Tuesday - Sunday from 11am - 6pm!

A letter of thanks from Mark Eby CEO of the Oklahoma Humane Society:
Today is Labor Day, a day to celebrate the laborers who make a difference in our country.
I want to take a few minutes to honor and thank all the employees at Oklahoma Humane Society. They are an incredible group of people who make a difference in our community and state, every single day. They ask for no recognition. They just come to work and do their job to make sure dogs and cats can have an amazing life. They get pooped on, peed on, puked on, and slobbered on but they go home, wash it off, and show up on time the next day to do it again. They don’t worry about themselves, they truly care about the well-being of the animals we help.
Last year 28,530 animals passed through our doors. Just think about that number for a minute…that’s an average of 78 animals every single day coming through our doors and being cared for by our staff. That number includes holidays and weekends. Animals in our care need us 365 days a year. Someone must feed them, walk them, and give them water and love.
So, while we celebrate this day with our family and friends, I want to take a moment to thank all the employees at Oklahoma Humane Society. Thank you for the hundreds of thousands of animals you’ve impacted over the years. Our City and State is grateful for what you do.
I’m thankful you are on the OK Humane team and share your love and compassion with animals that need us.

Foster Daphne!
She is 4 years old and 41 pounds.
Daphne is a sweetheart girl who loves to snuggle and be around her people. Equal parts tender spirit, loyal shadow, and living weighted blanket, she’s the kind of companion who will melt into your arms and stay there.

While she’s still learning to feel comfortable around other dogs, Daphne is making progress at her own pace. She coexists peacefully (and patiently) with her feline foster sister, so calm kitty companions may be just fine.

She’s fully potty trained and currently working on basic obedience and a few tricks with her foster mom-she’s eager to learn, especially when treats and praise are involved!

Daphne is also available for adoption! Stop by the OK Humane Adoption Center to meet her! The address is 7500 N Western Ave. The hours our Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm. If interested in fostering please, email [email protected] and please fill out the foster form at the link tinyurl.com/467dzh6c! Adopt Brie!
She is 11 months old and weighs 30 pounds.
Brie is a smart pup who already knows sit, paw, and “go to bed,” is working on lay down, and will politely wait for her food bowl until she’s told it’s time to eat. She’s both house and kennel trained, kid-friendly, and even cat-friendly! While she hasn’t been around other dogs yet, she may do well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to please and full of love, Brie might just be the perfect match for you!

Visit the OK Humane Adoption Center today at 7500 N Western Ave. or email [email protected] if interested in adopting. The adoption center is open Tuesday - Sunday from 11am - 6pm!

Adopt Washington!
Washington is 4 months old and weighs 30 pounds. This handsome boy has grown into a bundle of joy, silliness, and affection. Washington loves nothing more than showing off his goofy side, whether he’s chasing after sticks, zooming around the yard, or soaking up love from his people. He’s still playful at heart and brings plenty of laughter wherever he goes.

Washington is friendly with other dogs, though his play style can be a bit on the rough-and-tumble side, so he’d do best with canine pals who can match his energy. He’s working on his manners and thrives with consistency, making him a great fit for someone ready to guide him as he continues to learn. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving, and loyal companion, Washington just might be your perfect match!

Foster Indie!
Indie is 2 years old and 41 pounds. She is the ultimate chameleon dog—she adapts to your vibe in an instant. Want to play and be active? She’s right there with tail wags and energy. Ready to lounge and binge your favorite show? She’ll be your loyal cuddle buddy all day long.
Indie has been wonderful with kids. She prefers to be the only pet or with carefully matched dog friends, and she’d do best in a home without cats or small animals.

If interested in fostering please, email [email protected] and please fill out the foster form at the link tinyurl.com/467dzh6c! To see additional pets in need of a foster home, please check out our Trello board at the link bit.ly/49pHTKM!!
