This month, we want to celebrate the incredible people who make our lifesaving mission possible - our amazing OK Humane fosters. Their kindness changes lives every single day, and we couldn’t do this work without them.

London Faulkner and her partner, Andrew! London has a special gift for helping fearful and under-socialized dogs come out of their shells. Her patience, understanding, and compassion help transform nervous dogs into confident companions, and the pets she fosters often find homes quickly thanks to the care she provides.

Sam Davenport has fostered for us since 2019! Not only is she an incredible foster, but she also helps support fellow fosters by moderating our foster Facebook group. When it comes to saving lives, Sam isn’t picky. Dogs? Absolutely. Cats? Of course. She’s all in. Even after becoming a parvo-exposed foster, Sam continues opening her heart and home to some of our most vulnerable pets, giving them the love, care, and second chance they deserve.

Meet Delilah!

This sweet puppy is ready to find her forever family! She is a gentle, playful pup who does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. She loves having a friend to play with and especially enjoys a good game of fetch! She has been working hard on her potty training and is making amazing progress with patience and consistency. With her loving personality, playful spirit, and eagerness to learn, she will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to continue helping her grow. Come visit her at our Adoption Center today!

This month, we want to celebrate the incredible people who make our lifesaving mission possible - our amazing OK Humane fosters.

Nathan has a special talent for helping shy, quirky, and overlooked dogs feel safe and loved while they prepare for their forever homes. As soon as one foster pet is adopted, Nathan is often ready to head straight to our Intake Facility to welcome another pet in need. His commitment never wavers, and his impact on the animals in our care is immeasurable.

Jean Kates (right) is not only a dedicated foster, but also a committed advocate for every pet in her care. She spends time training and working with her foster dogs to help them succeed in their future homes, while also supporting The Village Animal Shelter. We know we can always count on Jean to help dogs build confidence, learn manners, and shine.

Foster homes are so much more than a temporary place for pets to stay. They provide a safe space for animals to heal, relax, learn, and prepare for adoption. Most importantly, foster families show pets what love, comfort, and belonging feel like. Every pet who enters a foster home leaves with a brighter future because someone opened their heart and home.

We are endlessly grateful for the dedication, compassion, and generosity of our foster families. Because of them, thousands of cats and dogs have received a second chance at life.

This stunning friend has the sweetest face and the most enthusiastic meow! Not just a darling face and lovely voice, she also loves nothing more than playing with her people and giving snuggles. If a friendly, cuddly, and lively kitten sounds like a good match for you, be sure to stop by and give her a chance!

Meet Dove! This sweet 2-year-old girl would love to be your best friend! After raising her kittens, this momma is ready for her me time - she’s a chatty and affectionate cat who would adore to be in your lap and make biscuits on you. Be sure you are ready for a conversation; this kiddo has a lot of opinions she is dying to share with you!

She has met other cats and done well with kids before but would do best with a slow pace and careful introduction for other pets! She could probably fit in with almost any family!

These two adorable 4-month-old male puppies are looking for a foster home where they can relax, decompress, and enjoy just being puppies while they wait for their neuter surgeries on July 1.

At just 8 pounds each, Acorn and Fig have found the shelter environment a little overwhelming and would love a cozy home where they can feel safe, play, nap, and soak up some love. They can be fostered together or separately!
