This Valentine's Day we have a very special lady that wasn't expecting to spend Valentine's Day alone again. She is our one and only Golden Bachelorette and is wanting to prove that true love is timeless and ageless! Suzie is looking for a few simple requirements for her forever home.
*Daily cuddles are required of course
*Treats (wet temptations are preferred but she's not picky)
*A warm spot to sleep
*And finally, a special someone who will love and care for her through her golden years.
Suzie is a healthy 12ish years young cat who loves people more than anything (except treats maybe). She has no pre-existing health conditions and has no teeth so no need for future dentals! Please contact us at 405-843-4711 if you are interested!

We will be closed Wednesday 2/12 due to inclement weather and dangerous driving conditions. Stay safe and warm everyone!

February is American Heart Health month and Pet Dental Health month? Those two things may not have anything in common at first glance but our pet's dental health is a vital part of their overall wellness! Periodontal disease is the most common disease afflicting our companion pets. In dogs and cats, a definite association has been shown in numerous studies between periodontal disease and heart disease. In fact, studies have shown that the greater the severity of dental disease, the greater the risk and severity of heart disease in dogs and cats. These findings emphasize the importance of preventing dental disease before it starts and treating it when it is already present. A key point to remember is that dogs and cats with both heart disease and dental disease can still have their dental disease treated. Heart disease does not preclude a pet from having their dental disease treated safely under anesthesia. In fact, these are the cases that need it the most! Of course the best treatment is prevention and we can help our furry friends by brushing their teeth with pet safe toothpaste, enzymatic water additives, dental chews and dental cleanings when indicated by your veterinarian to keep their health in tip top shape, fresh breath is a bonus too!

Little miss Suzie has been staying with us for a while, but now she's ready for a home of her own to live out her golden years. Suzie is the sweetest most affectionate girl who loves napping in a warm lap but she'll also appreciate a heating pad to sleep on. This toothless girl is extremely gentle and would love a home that is quiet, and she would prefer to be the only feline friend in the house (she gets jealous πŸ™ˆ). She has the most unique and perfect meow we've ever heard sounding somewhere between a tree frog and a creaky door, there's no doubt a home for this sweet girl let us know if you might be that safe place for her.

If you would like to meet Suzie give us a call or text at (405) 843-4711

With the holiday season comes a delightful variety of baked goods, chocolate confections and other
rich, fattening foods. However, it is not wise, and in some cases, quite dangerous, to share these treats with your
pets. Keep your pet on his or her regular diet over the holidays and do not let family and friends sneak in treats.
Foods that can present problems include:
β€’ Foods containing grapes, raisins and currants (such as fruit cakes, breads and cookies) can result in
kidney failure in dogs.
β€’ Chocolate and cocoa contain theobromine, a chemical highly toxic to dogs and cats. Ingestion in small
amounts can cause vomiting and diarrhea but large amounts can cause seizures and heart arrhythmias.
β€’ Many sugarless gums and candies contain xylitol, a sweetener which is toxic to dogs. It causes a lifethreatening drop in blood sugar and liver failure.
β€’ Leftover fatty, meat scraps can produce severe inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis) leading to
abdominal pain, vomiting and bloody diarrhea.
