Pre shingling the wing feathers before you put the bird together helps a lot. Gives them memory to makes them want to stay where they are supposed to be and so your shingling at the end is much easier. The nature lines it creates makes the bird look more like a real bird. One thing that separate a good taxidermist from a bad one!
