I just want to thank C Bar A for Freckles. I came to C Bar A for a gelding and walked away with this beautiful mare. Since I have brought her home, she has been nothing but a big puppy dog horse, yet you throw a saddle on her back and she is ready for anything. Already have hunted off her, roped off her, and even started working on gun shots for when it’s small game season, and she has taken everything in stride. Everyone that has seen her says how big and beautiful she is. Honestly, couldn’t ask for a better horse. I can’t wait to see all the cool things we get into together.

Penny walk, trots, and lopes both ways with ease in a snaffle. Solid, steady, and not bothered by construction, cars, dirt bikes, golf carts, or heavy machinery. She stands tied for long periods of time, lifts all her feet, and is happy to get attention!

She gets along well with other horses, is an easy keeper, and stands right at a handy, comfortable height (and is as wide as she is tall)! She’s sound and ready to head out on her next adventure with her next adult or kid.

✨ At C Bar A, we want you set up for success

When you come try a horse with us, our goal is for you to feel confident, comfortable, and supported every step of the way. To help make your visit smooth and productive, here are a few do’s and don’ts to keep in mind:

✅ DO
• Bring your own saddle (we want you to fit in the tack)
• Come with a list of questions you’ve already thought through
• Know what you’d like to do with the horse while you’re here (groundwork, picking up feet, riding, etc.)
• Bring an emotional support human if that helps you feel more confident
• Wear appropriate shoes and clothing
• Get approval to buy from parents, spouses, and trainers (our horses are first come, first serve so we can’t guarantee they will be available at a later time)

❌ DON’T:
• Hesitate to ask questions
• Be afraid to mess up if you’re learning, we need to know! (We need to see if the horse will tolerate your mistakes too)
• Forget your helmet if you ride with one (We don’t supply them)
• Tire kick (we totally understand that life happens and are happy to be flexible but please be mindful of our team’s time as well)
