Someone is in need to find a home for this dog, even tho we are closed I thought that maybe someone would be able to help him. Person to contact is Anastasia at (954)822-2209.

Some information about Bosley:
He is estimated to be 4 years old.
He is neutered and UTD on shots.
Not good with cats or small animals. (He has a high prey drive).
He does well on walks with other dogs from what I've tested. But once you let them free together, he tries to mount nonstop. So with some training, he might be good with some dogs.
He does well in the car. (I have to drive 2 hours each way to take him to the vet).
He's well behaved in the house. Hasn't chewed any furniture or anything like that.
Housebroken.

He was the shelter for 5 months before he got sick. He was a staff and volunteer favorite while he was there. I fostered him to see if being out of the shelter would help him heal. I adopted him when We decided to do the exploratory surgery. Now he's looking for his forever home 🥰

Tomorrow will be our last full day at TOH. We still got cleaning to do, but majority is done! We will be there on and off through the next week to finish! We have plenty linens and some odds and ends if anyone is need of any!

Update for All the Grace lovers! She us currently 8 months old and doing great with her forever home! Grace is just one of the many puppies that were brought in, in horrible condition and with the love of one of our foster moms she was able to get her healthy again! Grace required 1 eye to be surgically removed and is 80% blind in the other. We love to hear wonderful updates on our pups! 🐶💙🐶❤️

Info!!!
We treated every dog that came to this facility! But our dogs ran free during the day, got to play in mud, dirt, and water. They were not locked in cages all day and night. Our dogs were able to be DOGS! Some of our wonderful volunteers bathed, played, and sat with all the dogs often as they could. With us closing things have been said that I did not care for them properly. We are closing, not someone taking over. If someone would take over, they take over everything, not what THEY choose. With this said we did the best we could at the end! And we are greatful to all the volunteers and adopters that came to help. I have been in Okeechobee on and off my while life, I love it!!!! If anyone has a question or concern please reach out! At the end someone always has an opinion, and if you were not there, that it don't matter. Thanks for all the support we were shown and continue to get!!

Just so everyone knows, all remaining dogs will go to a RESCUE. If you want a remaining dog you can come between 10-2 tomorrow only. Don't ask info on here, look on previous posts info is in comments. We are busy packing and cleaning and very shorthanded! Thank you to the wonderful people who have been coming to help!

With today being the last day for adoptions with Trail of Hope, I am sadden with still having some very good dogs left! It breaks my heart🥺
