Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Craig Hammans, who is a licensed, experienced Bakersfield veterinarian. Starting March 1st, 2022, we will be closed on Saturdays for appointments. We will be open from 8AM-12PM on Saturdays for the following: By phone to schedule future appointments, our drive-thru will remain open for prescription and food pick-ups, and our Pet Resort will be open for drop-off and pick-ups only.

As we approach the 4th of July holiday, kindly note that requests for sedatives for pets anxious about fireworks should be submitted prior to July 2nd. Late requests may not be filled. All medication requests require a recent examination, within the past year.

She is approximately 12 years old, a spayed female, and exhibits a highly affectionate temperament. Notably, she is not shy and thrives on cuddles. We are seeking a loving, forever indoor home for her.

Allow us to introduce Lisa.

She is approximately 8-9 months old, weighs around 30 pounds, and demonstrates excellent social skills with other dogs and cats. Lisa is also comfortable with car rides, crate trained, and enjoys physical affection.
Lisa's previous caregiver, a homeless individual, had her secured to a basket in direct sunlight without access to water. The dog attempted to shield her paws from the hot asphalt. The caregiver acknowledged her inability to provide suitable care and explained that she had to safeguard Lisa from other homeless individuals and their dogs that posed a threat.

As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.
