It’s been slow getting deer hides back from a recommended tannery unfortunately due to old tannery closing a new one was needed. The capes look nice and fit great but they have been horrible about time line due to being overloaded with other clients. Supposedly I was to get last batch of deer by end of August and still haven’t. As of September 16th they are still waiting to be thinned. I hope this message reaches everyone.
Also unfortunately due to lack of cell service while in the shop it appears I have not been receiving notifications of phone calls. Please pm me here or leave a text and voice mail at

Remember the bear on the right is not salvageable after a 180gr 30-06 round. I’m currently telling myself that while I have one in range… and if you see the bear in the left that close ask yourself “ why did I wait this long”

Being located at Abe’s deer drop off is the same hours as the gun store unless by appointment or as the case tonight I haven’t left yet…
Abe’s Arms current hours are
Sunday 11-7
Monday 11-7
Tuesday closed
Wednesday closed
Thursday 11-7
Friday 11-7
Saturday 11-7
There is a freezer drop box at Abe’s in case you are unable to be there during business hours. If so shoot me a message on here or at 8146766826 so I can get to is asap

Hello, I would like to thank everyone for 25 great years of business. I have new exciting news for this upcoming season for Redfield’s woods& water Taxidermy Llc. I will be moving my shop location as of now. Redfield’s Taxidermy will now be located at 3874 us route 62 oil city pa 16301. It wil be in located in the Abe’s general store building to the right. I have a great young man PJ that will be working with me as my apprentice. And as he is there running the store he will also be there to take things in and out if I’m not. Do to some changes i will not be skinning Deer or Bear this year!! Here are some diagrams to show you where to cut.. note #3 on the deer is skin roled up and cutting the neck off the deer.Or your local butcher shop will do a great job for you..We will still be taking everything in. just not skinning life-size critters this year!!
