Hi Everyone, I have pasted an e-mail below that I received about a horse needing a home. Due to the recent event that occurred in June the owner has agreed to keep her pastured until we could help find a home. If anyone is interested in placing her in a home that meets our qualifications please contact me and I can see if she still has her.
Thank you,

Dear Stacy,
We spoke on the phone earlier today about my QH mix mare. I am sending you all the info I have on her and some pictures.
Name: Gidget
Breed: QH mix
Age: 9 (2007)
Height: 14.2
Color: Bay with star
I have had Gidget since 2010. I broke her myself. She was a hunter/jumper pony and we did some of the schooling shows around Shreveport. Gidget can be a little "looky" but does really, really well when in a program. She will be perfect or someone who will be doing stuff with her at least three times a week. She stands for farrier and vet, trailers, cross ties, etc., has very good ground manners, and loooves to be groomed. My 3 year old grooms her and she loves it. She is UTD on EVERYTHING (last round of vaccines and Coggins was in March or April). She has good feet (I didn't put shoes on her until last year when she started jumping some bigger jumps; she is currently shoeless) and a very easy keeper. Has never colicked or had any other issues except the two injuries this year. Has been to shows outside of the property as well as trail riding when we lived in Virginia (when she had only been a couple of months under saddle). Once she trusts you she will do absolutely anything you ask of her. She also comes to the gate every time I go see her. She enjoys human interaction. Has been in group settings with both mares and geldings and has never had issues.
She had an accident while jumping earlier this year and the vet said it was a suspensory ligament injury (front right). Then, in May, she had a puncture wound on her back right cannon bone that has healed but left behind a relatively large blemish. I don't know if she is lame from this injury, as she is still lame from her suspensory injury.
I think she would make a great Western pleasure or trail riding mare. She could also jump again, but I'm not looking to wait and see since she is too small for me. She goes in a snaffle and has a very soft mouth.
I have attached some pictures of Gidget. I also have videos, if needed. I will also post some stuff to your page. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to me over the phone. I hope you can help me find a good home for this sweet girl.
Best regards,
