Lazy Horse Brewing & Winery is a Nebraska vineyard, winery and brewery. We have a relaxing tasting room with a large outdoor porch where guests can enjoy catching up with friends and family while looking out over the vineyard. Past the vineyard, guests will see the LH horses grazing in the pasture. Nebraska made wine along with hand crafted beer is served with wood fired pizza. Guests can watch as pizzas are made in the wood fired oven located in the tasting room.

This whole Cracker Barrel thing is crazy to me.

Let’s be honest. It’s not about Cracker Barrel or logos.

It’s about America losing the heartbeat we grew up with. In the 80s and 90s, life was real — neighbors waved, families gathered, and we took pride in who we were. Now too many want to tear that down and rewrite what made America great.

Out here, we’re not going to sit back and watch it slip away.

We’ll hold on to the simple life, the hard work, and the connections that built this country. That spirit is worth fighting for — and we’re not letting go.

Just an update…We have a roof mostly on. Steel should be going on this week. This is not going to be a quick and easy process. It’s not going to be weeks. It’ll be months. Most of our wine, all of our food, and a good portion of our beer were lost to heat exposure.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about how things are coming along. A ton of progress has been made on the structure but there’s a lot more to it. There is attic insulation stuck to everything. I mean everything.

We don’t post many beer pics these days… but this one’s worth it.

This is our summer shandy, Speedy Donkey—and it is the best version we’ve ever had.

I’ve brewed this several times, and while it was good, it never quite hit the mark. But here’s the thing: I didn’t brew this one. Chrissy did.

And she nailed it.

There’s nowhere to hide in a beer like this—no haze, no hops to cover mistakes. Just clean, crisp refreshment. And Chrissy brewed it perfectly.

It’s been nearly two years since I brewed a beer myself, and I couldn’t be prouder watching her grow into one of the best brewers in the state. This one’s all her—and it’s damn good.

I love Independence Day out here. We can see fireworks for miles in every direction. The thing I love the most is that under every single display is a group of family and friends that are staring up into the sky and sharing a minute in time. 249 years ago brave men, some barely in their 20s, signed a document that guaranteed their lives would be taken from them had things not gone the way that they did.

This is the American spirit that I still see today in so many Americans. The independent nature I see from the WWII generation down to these young men and women that are just getting started, it gives me chills and makes me proud to be an American.

This weekend is about the greatness of this country.

This country has something no other place on earth has. It has the spirit and courage to live as a free people able to determine our own futures. There is much to be proud of and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Blueberry wheat and the Blueberry wine are both back today!
