What a pleasure it is to introduce little Ezra!
Coming from a breeder at only 8 months old, Ezra arrived at the rescue completely bewildered. He'd had no love, no human contact, and no exposure to anything a "normal dog" should. Now he's in a busy rescue surrounded by people who adore him - but it's a lot for a little pup to take in
Sadly, Ezra has already experienced a brief adoption and was returned so he can continue his search for a forever home. In the home he showed behaviours we hadn't seen at the rescue; he was wary of people indoors and made some wrong (and very out-of-character) decisions because of this.
For that reason, Ezra now needs an adult-only home with adopters who understand his worries and are willing to go at his pace. With time, patience, and gentle guidance, he will blossom into the adoring boy we know he is
When his kennel friends have been adopted, staff members have taken Ezra home overnight so he wouldn't be alone - and they couldn't praise him enough. He was a lovely house guest, showed none of the behaviours reported to us, and even snuggled up with the resident cat
Ezra will need at least one kind, confident, and welcoming resident dog to help him settle. He finds comfort and reassurance in canine company, and you'll often find him snuggled up with his doggy friends
On walks, Ezra is generally good on the lead, though he may bark at larger dogs. He's not a naughty pup by any means, and with the right guidance and training this can easily be worked through
When you hold Ezra, he melts into you, nuzzling his head into your neck and completely relaxing. He is SUCH a sweetheart, and every staff member absolutely adores him. He's been stripped of his puppyhood, and now all he needs is a home that will finally be his, with people who won't give up on him.
