This beautiful girl was found on the Five Mile Line Rd in Lisbon. She is not microchipped, looks to be in great condition, and is very friendly. Could have recently had pups or was pregnant. (The collar is not her’s)

Please Help Us Celebrate Dr. Lisa Kirby! 🩺

Dr. Kirby started off the New Year with us in January, and we are thrilled to have her as part of the Town & Country Team!

A Gouverneur native, Dr. Kirby’s love for animals began long before she became a veterinarian. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and has been caring for pets—and the people who love them—ever since.

Right now, Dr. Kirby shares her time between our Massena and Potsdam clinics, and we are grateful to have her supporting both locations.

Outside of work, her life is wonderfully busy and full of fur! She shares her home with three Golden Retrievers, a Sheltie, and four cats who keep things lively. When she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids. Whether relaxing at home or out making new memories together, family time is her greatest joy.

We are truly excited to have Dr. Kirby on our team and look forward to all the great things ahead. If you haven’t already, be sure to say hello and help make her feel right at home!

Our Ogdensburg clinic will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday, February 6, 2026.

🐾 However! Our phone lines will be open from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM for any questions, scheduling, or to arrange pickup of previously filled pet medications.

Please note:
🚫 No new prescriptions or medication refills can be filled on this day, as no doctors or technicians will be in the building. We suggest contacting our Potsdam or Massena practices if you need a medication urgently.

🐶🦠 Leptospirosis in Dogs – We have been seeing a higher volume of Leptospirosis cases lately, and we want pet owners to be aware.

Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial disease that dogs can pick up from standing water, mud, puddles, wildlife or rodent urine—even in their own backyard.

⚠️ Signs to Watch For in Dogs:
• Fever or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Loss of appetite
• Increased thirst or urination
• Yellowing of the eyes or gums
• Sudden or severe illness

If left untreated, Leptospirosis can cause kidney and liver failure and can also pose a risk to people.

✅ How to Protect Your Dog
• Keep your dog up to date on their Leptospirosis vaccine
• Avoid puddles, ponds, and stagnant water
• Control rodents around your home and yard
• Wash hands after handling pets who may have been exposed

📞 If your dog is showing symptoms or you have questions about vaccination, please contact our clinic as soon as possible. Early treatment is critical.

As the holidays approach, we want to make sure your pets are well taken care of! If your pet will need medications or refills, please be sure to contact us in advance so we can assist you before our holiday closures.

Christmas Hours
• Christmas Eve: All clinics will close at 1:00 PM
• Christmas Day: Closed
• Friday, December 26: Closed
• Regular business hours will resume on Monday

New Year’s Hours
• New Year’s Eve:
– Massena Office: Closing at 1:00 PM
– Ogdensburg and Potsdam Clinics: Closing at 5:00 PM
• New Year’s Day: Closed
• Regular business hours will resume on Friday, January 2nd
