Confession TIME!!!

Even as a veterinary professional, I’m not immune to the nerves that come with putting my own pet under anesthesia—especially when that pet is my 15-year-old soul dog.

She recently had a dental procedure after a few skin bumps had grown larger and she timidly was picking at her kibble. I thought she was just slowing down from age and arthritis, but I didn’t realize how much discomfort she was hiding.

Was I calm and composed? Absolutely not. I didn’t hover (I have some self-control), but I did text the team every 3 seconds for updates.

And now? She’s a different dog. She’s eating like a champ, has more energy, and is clearly feeling so much better. It’s been amazing to watch her bounce back.

I’m incredibly grateful—not just as her person, but as someone who gets to work with this team every day. I trusted them with my geriatric puppy, and they delivered exactly what I needed: safe, compassionate care.

If you’ve been nervous about anesthesia or unsure if it’s worth it—especially for a senior pet—I get it. I’ve been there. But seeing her thrive now makes me so glad I said yes. 💛🐾 - Brit & Piper

🎣🐾 Hooked on Adventure! 🐾🎣

This brave pup came back from a fishing trip with a double hook surprise stuck in his skin! 😬

Luckily, we got it out safely and he is back to tail wags and happy hikes.

Heads up, pet parents: Fishing gear looks way too fun to curious pets. Keep hooks and bait out of reach!

🎆🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from all of us at Wasatch Hollow Animal Hospital! 🇺🇸🎆

While we love the celebrations, BBQs, and fireworks, this holiday can be a stressful time for our furry friends. Loud noises, unfamiliar guests, and summer heat can pose real risks for pets.

🐶🐱 To help you keep your pet safe and comfortable, we’re sharing this helpful guide from the AVMA

💡 A few quick tips:
🔒 Keep pets indoors and secured
🎇 Never bring them to fireworks shows
🍗 Watch out for dropped food and alcohol
🏷️ Make sure ID tags and microchips are up to date
