As i’m trying to learn to use the loom it reminds me of thinking about people who want to own alpaca. We tell people they’re different than other animals (so is weaving!), we tell people to go to seminars and read books (as with weaving!) we tell people to be prepared to own more alpaca because they’re addicting (nuff said- I already own three) AND we tell people to always have a mentor. I’m working on a closer mentor because like Alpaca, it’s too easy to screw up‼️

🙏🙏🙏Asking for alpaca prayers for this little one. In spite of alpaca being fragile sometimes there are miracles. Shes had a rough start with a bladder infection we can’t get controlled but shes feisty and strong through it all. Shes been messed with to much during her short life and i’m asking for prayers to find answers to manage this bacteria! Please God, smother her with your goodness today during some last efforts to manage this problem.

When you think you’ve seen alot of alpaca idiosyncrasies - this happens! As soon as we started using the creep pen this little one showed unusual pooping behavior. If you can’t see what he’s doing, his front feet are in the Hay feeder and his back feet are outside while he poops & pees. My solution was going to be to raise the hay feeder until today when it was taken to a new level. Literally. Now, it’s a bigger hay feeder, which leads me to believe there’s something in that little head I’ll never understand
