Warrior Ranch is looking for a dependable weekend barn assistant.
We are currently looking for someone to help with stall cleaning, feeding, and horse turnout/turn-in. The number of stalls to be cleaned will vary depending on how full the barn is—currently we are not completely full, so the workload and pay will be adjusted accordingly.
Duties
Cleaning anywhere from approximately 8–22 stalls, depending on barn occupancy
Morning feeding
Turning horses out and bringing them back in
General barn and horse-care duties as needed
Requirements
Previous horse experience is required. You must be comfortable and competent handling horses. Your horse-handling skills will be evaluated if you are considered for the position.
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Dependable and able to follow instructions
NO SMOKING OR VA**NG. If you smoke or v**e, please do not apply.
Applicants with a criminal record, including criminal traffic offenses such as DUI, street racing, etc., need not apply.
Pay
Pay will be discussed with qualified applicants and will be based in part on the number of stalls and current barn occupancy.
Possible Board/Work Arrangement
We may consider a trade of work for board for the right person who owns a horse and is interested in keeping that horse at our facility.
We also have a small studio cottage on the property that may be available to a qualified person. If housing is arranged, the cost will be deducted from pay.
