🐶 Behavior Tip of the Day:

Reward the calm, not just the cute.
Most people give attention when their dog jumps, barks, or demands it — but quiet, relaxed moments often go unnoticed. The trick? Catch your dog doing nothing and reward that. A calm dog that’s lying down or waiting patiently learns that peace earns praise, not chaos.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend🥰

Fun!

🐾 Dog House Behavior Tip of the Day 🐾

Does your pup turn into a pogo stick when you walk through the door? 😂 Jumping is just their way of saying “I’m SO excited you’re here!” But we want to teach them that keeping all four paws on the floor gets them the love they’re looking for. 💙

✨ Here’s how to flip the script:

When your dog jumps — don’t push, don’t yell. Just turn away and fold your arms. No spotlight for pogo pups. 🚫

The second those paws touch the ground — boom, praise party! 🎉 Give them love, pets, or a treat right away.

Want bonus points? Ask for a sit instead of a jump, and reward that every time. 🐶✔️

💡 Pro Tip: Dogs do what works. If jumping doesn’t get attention, but sitting like a polite little floof does, guess which one they’ll choose?

Keep it positive. Keep it fun. And before you know it, your pup will be greeting you with wiggles, not leaps. 🐕💫

🐾 Behavior Tip of the Day: Set Them Up for Success

Start with the easy wins, people. Don’t expect your pup to heel like a champ on the first try—this isn’t America’s Got Talent.

🛋️ Start small: Practice in the living room before you hit the dog park chaos.

🍖 Stack rewards: Be cooler than the squirrel. Be louder than the ice cream truck. Treats, toys, praise—heck, do the happy dance if you have to.

🪜 Mini wins matter: Reward a few calm steps at your side. Don’t hold out for the full mile walk like they’re running a marathon.

🔄 Redirect, don’t punish: If they blow it, just reset. No drama. Show them what you do want, and boom—back on track.

Remember: baby steps : make it fun you got this!😉

Good morning
Happy Friday!!!!!

🐾 Behavior Tip of the Day: Come When Called 🐾

Always start with your dog on a leash or long line. This way, “Come” doesn’t turn into a game of catch-me-if-you-can. You’re setting them up to succeed from the beginning.

1️⃣ Call & Guide – Say their name + “Come!” in a happy tone. If they don’t move right away, gently guide them in with the leash so they learn what it means.

2️⃣ Reward Big – As soon as they get to you, praise and treat like it’s the best thing ever. Coming to you should always feel like they won the lottery.

3️⃣ Repeat & Build Confidence – Keep practicing on the leash until they’re coming right away. Then slowly give them more freedom with a longer line as they improve.

4️⃣ Level Up Distractions – Start indoors or in your yard. Once they nail it, work up to bigger distractions—park, beach, or around other dogs. Always keep the leash until you know they’re rock-solid.

5️⃣ Keep It Positive – Never use “Come” to end the fun or punish. If you need to do something your dog doesn’t love (bath, nail trim, etc.), just go to them. “Come” should always mean good things.

✅ Pro Tip: Make it exciting—clap, cheer, even run backward a few steps. Be more fun than whatever else has their attention.
