*LONG POST FOR A LONG WEEKEND ❣️

Our first 3-day event in the books! Thank you Community Markets & Events for providing the opportunity to meet new pups and their humans who were awesome! 🐕Thank-you for an incredible entertainment line-up that kept the energy live!🎶 Thank you for finding blueberries in a flash to enjoy when an obstruction haulted the planned load. 🫐 Thank you for for letting me learn a few valuable lessons I can laugh about now but was all freaked out about at the time!

The weather was awesome all weekend....until it wasn't. After 4.5 years of vending, I knoooooowwww better than to send my walls home in the first load of "stuff I won't need anymore" which, in fact, I did on Sunday morning. 😬 Without even checking the weather. And if course we got blasted with big rain!! 🌧😃 But boy did we need it. So I adapted and did my best to keep our booth and product dry. And then...the FLIES! OMG, the flies from the entire county took shelter...IN MY TENT!! And then they realized I had all the body parts they wanted to luxuriate in! I. WAS. MORTIFIED! Duck heads to Ostrich tendons, we got the goods but the flies found out!

Now, I take pride in our open bakery set up so everyone can really see and feel what they're getting. It's important for good pup health. But man, I kept having to swat and wave away tons of flies and lovebugs after the rains. Swarms of them really! But ya know what Hernando Blueberry Festival visitors...you came anyway! Lots of you. A few of you squshed your faces up and stayed away (can't say I blame you), but a customer said something to really change my mindset. She told me "oh hun, that just means you have REAL food. Fresh, natural products." And she was right! They knew I could not possibly control them and I regained a bit of confidence bcz I know we have the BEST options for tasty treats and great health!
Just like I tell all newer vendors, you can ALWAYS learn something from EVERY event that will make you better. I had a great weekend, rain and all! Thank you Cheryl Taylor and Team! 🤩
