He turned twelve, but no one came.
The old orange cat lay quietly on his small bed, holding a sign with tired paws. One eye had lost its light, and the other searched the empty room, still hoping to see a familiar face.
Years ago, birthdays meant love, warm hands, and a gentle voice calling his name. Now, there was only silence. Twelve years of loyalty, waiting by doors, trusting hearts that never returned.
As the day slowly faded into night, he rested his head and stayed still.
Not asking for gifts.
Not asking for food.
Just hoping… to be remembered. 💔🐾
