I’ve shared this before but there has been a recent video posted around about the evils of Ecollars. This is Sunny’s first session with an ecollar. As you can see she’s happy and upbeat, not shutting down or showing any signs of distress or discomfort. Don’t buy into to propaganda and nonsense put forth by ideologues with an agenda who have no understanding of the things they say. If you have questions about these tools or any other, feel free to reach out to us and ask. We’re here to help. We can also connect you with clients who use these tools and love them.
One of our camp dogs went home recently. This go home lesson is a good example of why it’s so important for us to spend time working with the owners and for owners to go home and practice. No matter how good they are with us (Mollie had just demonstrated him doing the exercises properly), they have to learn to work with the owners and the owners need to learn how to properly communicate.
Wiggly Wrigley
It’s important for you to help them gain and build confidence. Here you can see Wrigley struggling a bit with the platforms. It’s quite common. Mollie uses patience and confidence to help him overcome his obstacles. You’re going to struggle with learning and teaching new things. That’s okay. Be patient and continue to work through it in small bite. Now go do more with your dog!
Miss Mollie getting it done with one of our puppy campers. It’s important for you to prepare your puppy to be held, handled and otherwise manipulated by the vet and groomer. You can see Mollie working through his frustration with being held and rewarding him for being calm and accepting of her handling. I know it can be hard for us to see our little ones struggling but you can see he’s no worse for the wear and will grow to be comfortable being uncomfortable from time to time. It’s part of life. We have to do it, and it’s important for them to learn to do it as well.
Apologies for the audio. We’re working on that.
