Sprout and I had a memorable day out a few weeks ago. I've been slow to share. The American Chesapeake club had a large supported show at the Trenton Kennel Club (thanks to Stacy George and Marty Smith). In breed competition, Sprout was select bitch and Best Owner-Handled in breed under judge Susan Petermann. Later in the day, Betsy Horn Humer pointed to us for an Owner-Handled Sporting Group 1. We ended a very soggy day with an Owner-Handled Reserve Best in Show (again under S. Petermann). This one will get filed away with all of my other memorable wins at this show over the years. Thanks to the judges and all the folks who ran in circles in the rain with us.

Our youngster, Weatherdeck Come Forth, aka Sprout, was recognized on both Saturday and Sunday at shows in Salisbury, Maryland. Thanks to Michael Faulkner and Cindy Lane for selecting her for Winners. A number of friends also had very memorable wins this weekend. Thanks to all for the great sportsmanship and support of one another. I'm really looking forward to seeing an even larger gathering of Chesapeake folk at the Kennel Club of Philadelphia shows next weekend.

Two sisters making their way in the world. Monday and Klaus Ohrnberger got a group 4 and Jetti and Valerie Farrell picked up some scentwork Q’s and a really sweet award! Congrats girls!
