Can't tell you how many times I've heard that line of the dog was probably abused. So many places will give you a sob story to make you want to adopt the dog out of sympathy. And by doing that your relationship with that dog is off to a dangerous start!

This is Keke, working line GSD. Some of you may recognize her. She was here at 4 months old for a board and train learning all of the basics. Now she is back at 8 and 1/2 months old and we are working on more advanced skills impulse control being one of them as well as the 3ds distance, distraction and duration.

I love it When my clients send me pictures showing them actually out doing the work that was recommended. Willow can be a little nervous fearful so the best thing you can do is to get these dogs out and give them exposure to the environments they are uncertain of. Desensitizing is a process and takes time. Getting the dogs out and putting them in a downstay so they can just sit back. Observe the environment without nobody approaching them so they feel safe.

We are at home Depot with Hazel this morning. Working on her loose leash walking and her down stays in a very distracting environment! And she did great!
