Providing dumbo pet rats for Ocklawaha, FL with a heavy focus on ultra-squishy temperaments and solid health. Please view the link below to see my fee's.

They start at $25 apiece and go up from there. All rats that I breed are dumbo-eared. I do not use a waitlist here. Rats are posted on my Facebook and it is first-come first-serve. A link to my adoption form will be posted along with the available rats. Ahh.. the heavily awaited dapple litter (with a plus one!). Didn't have time for the girls yet, so posting up the boys for now to tide you guys over.
Waitlisters will be getting first pick after we choose our holdbacks and get the girls posted.

These boys are very sweet, all velveteen. There is one drex boy from litter 1C who is being considered as a holdback, along with one or two boys from 1B. The rest will be seeking 🏠's.

If anyone is interested, I will be parting with one of my double critter nations. Includes two bass equipment pans (galvanized steel) the top one does not have a cutout. I do also have the original plastic pans to add in, for free.

I also have some extra accessories I do not need (water bottles, toys, food dishes, hammocks) I can throw some in for a little extra $ if wanted. Mostly everything is new/like new - I just don't need as much as I purchased. 😆

All we can say is ʜᴏʟʏ ᴇᴀʀꜱ! 😍

The first litter of 2025 has been growing up beautifully. Waitlisters will be getting first pick (it's not too late to join!) after we choose our holdbacks within the next week or two and conduct further temperment testing.

No one captures your heart? No worries - we are expecting three more litters at the end of this month that will feature various colors and coat types with hopefully the same loveable, squishy temperaments. ❤️

Agnes's litter. 💓

We finally have some pigment coming through. This was a bit of a test litter to figure out what the parents carry. As I suspected, the majority are black - however, I was surprised with a few that appear to be blue, or possibly mink. The dam should be SM, so I will watch for that in the coming weeks. They are a mix of berkshire and variegated, and I was very happy when I saw a few recessive blazes in this group!
We did end up with 12. The 13th passed away shortly after birth. Thankfully the rest are doing great.

My waitlist is still open for those that would like to join, whether that's for this litter or the next few.

I still continue to struggle with the right camera settings; I promise I'll figure it out eventually! In the meantime, please excuse the poor photo quality.

Agnes had 6 lovely boys and 7 lovely girls yesterday. 💕 One of the boys is looking a little pale, but the rest are doing great so far.

Yesterday I attempted my first photoshoot after a few years, and clearly I'm quite rusty. 🤪

Not happy with how these came out so I'll be redoing this shoot in a few days. Attempted using the reflective background but I think I prefer matte... what are your guys' thoughts?
Still wanted to share a few, so here they are.

Pictured are two of the boys here at the rattery; CFR Sullivan (Black Marten Berkshire with Dragon-eye) and CFR Rigel (Russian Blue (torti?) Berkshire - the lighting is making him look mink... need to fix that).
Agnes is due any day now so I didn't want to disturb her with photos. Any guesses on litter size? I say 9!

Hello everyone, update time!

I am over a month late to posting this (𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘱𝘴!) but my first group* of new breeder rats have FINALLY arrived! 3 bucks and 2 does, who are being added to the website.

Sadly, the rats picked up SDAV (𝘢𝘬𝘢, 𝘳𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘶𝘴) on the transport. I take this seriously and have been under a strict quarantine. The good news is, SDAV is self-limiting and can be "burnt out" of a rattery as long as there are no new litters or rats for 6 or more weeks. It's not difficult to get rid of, it's merely a waiting game. Therefore, all rats bred at my rattery will be SDAV-free once my QT is up!

My rats had a rough 2 weeks in the beginning, but are now nearly fully recovered. They have all been on doxycycline and enrofloxacin 2x a day for the past 3 weeks to treat their secondary infections, and I will likely be going for 1-2 more weeks for good measure. Following this, they will be used as my foundation stock with no concerns.

With all that said, a massive thank you to ᴄʟᴏᴠᴇʀꜰɪᴇʟᴅ ʀᴀᴛᴛᴇʀʏ 🇨🇦 for trusting me with her lines. I am so grateful to have found a breeder with such similar ideals to my own. Even though the rats arrived sick (And this is NO fault of ᴄꜰʀ, just simply the risk that comes with transport), brighter days are certainly ahead! ☀️

*I do have another group of rats arriving the first week of May, (two of the boys are pictured below - photo credit to ᴄʟᴏᴠᴇʀꜰɪᴇʟᴅ ʀᴀᴛᴛᴇʀʏ!). I will be doing a proper quarantine with those as well before they are added to the rattery.

Hello everyone, long time no see!

This may come as a shock to some of you (while others may have been expecting this! 🤫) but I am pleased to announce that the rattery is in the process of being reopened. 🎉

Behind the scenes, I've been planning and rebuilding the rattery from scratch. It is a long (expensive) undertaking, but plans are in the works.

What's being changed? A lot of things. The way I hold reservations, the varieties I work with, pricing, my adoption requirements... expect a large overhaul to the rattery in the coming months. I do plan to get registered next year, and I also plan on yearly serology testing. My rattery will still operate as a closed rattery once all breeders are shipped in.

All in all, I am truly thrilled to be able to pursue this hobby of mine. I can't wait to resume breeding the squishy, loveable rodents we all love so much. ❤️
