Meet Ember. Ember is an 18 month old Lalani and Kanaloa puppy born July 8, 2024. Amazingly, Ember has come back to us for rehoming. She is one of a kind, possibly the smartest girl I have ever had. Maybe it’s the legacy of Rin Tin Tin, but German Shepherd Dogs have always been crowd favorites at Westminster. Despite their popularity, the breed has claimed Best in Show only twice. So when the aptly named Manhattan won in 1987, it became a moment fans never forgot—making it even more special when a female Shepherd reclaimed that honor three decades later.

Rumor’s 2017 victory felt especially sweet. After being edged out the year before by “CJ” the German Shorthaired Pointer, she returned from semi-retirement to take the top prize. Named after an Adele hit, Rumor inspired a wave of perfectly timed headlines—because in this case, Rumor really did have it. 🐾✨
