SNIP is expanding … and our community is helping make it happen. ☺️🐾

When we first announced our plans to expand, we knew that getting from an idea to an actual, functioning surgical space would take a lot of planning, a lot of work, and, most of all, a lot of support.

Since then, our community has already helped us make some very big pieces of that plan a reality.

More than $12,500 in equipment has now been purchased or donated for the expansion, including a complete setup for another prep station, two additional operating tables, and kennel banks so we can get more dogs on the schedule!

That’s a HUGE start! But we’re not quite there yet.

We still have approximately $18,500 to go to complete the construction, add the equipment and surgical instruments we need, and fill in all of the smaller pieces that turn an empty space into a working surgical facility.

And we’re going to keep fundraising every way we can — from our upcoming pet portrait fundraiser 👻🎃 and bake sale 🍰🍪 to some very cute SNIP-grown aloe plants in even cuter 3D-printed pots. 🌱

As you can see, this expansion is no longer just a plan. It’s really happening!!!

After more than 55,000 surgeries, we’ve reached the point where we’ve outgrown our current space and capacity. This expansion will allow us to increase our ability to provide affordable, accessible spay and neuter services to our community.

What’s better than low prices? EVEN LOWER PRICES!!!!

Y’all already know about $25 feral cat surgeries, $25 Jackson County pet cat surgeries, and $35 Jackson County dog surgeries. Beginning September 1st, thanks to Colorado Animal Rescue Express (C.A.R.E.) and the Bissell Pet Foundation, we can now offer the same $25 spay/neuter pricing (including rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine and microchip) to CAT owners outside of Jackson County!!!

We know there is a need! And here is what you need to know!

- Book your appointment at snipms.com - the discount is applied after booking!
- A $30 NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is required to book - this will go toward your total on the day of services (since the minimum to spend is $25 for cats, if you don’t elect to add any other services then you will receive a $5 refund on the day of your appointment).
- No limit per household, but funding is limited and its first come/first serve!
- Pets must be at least 3 months old and weigh at least 3 pounds for surgery.
- Core vaccines (rabies, FVRCP for cats) and microchip INCLUDED!!

Don’t wait, book now! And if you have an appointment with us in August, don’t worry! Just request the discount at drop off and you can still have it applied!

Is money tight right now? Hey, we get it! That’s why our prices are so low! Even if extra funds aren’t flowing these days, you can still help SNIP on our quest to expand!

Here is a flyer you can print and hand out or put up at work, mail it to your best friend, leave it in a grocery cart, get creative! Or…. just share our fundraising posts 🤪. Thanks to some generous donations and the clinic’s own investment thus far, we are over halfway to our fundraising goal! The big items we still need are a commercial washer and dryer, two oxygen concentrators, and funds for some minor renovations. We are aiming for $12,000 more to get those items ticked off.

We are well on our way to making this big dream an exciting reality! Help us get the word out and keep an eye out for some fun fundraising events we will have coming up!!

7 years and 55,000 surgeries later, SNIP is ready for its next chapter….

And we’d have never gotten here without your support! Now, with humble and grateful hearts, we are asking for your help so that we can accomplish even more. HELP US HELP MORE!

Thanks to the commitment our hard working staff and the support of our clients and community, SNIP has grown every year since opening, helping more pets and families access affordable services. But we are maxed out! In order to keep growing, we must EXPAND!

We are partnering with Friends of JCAS Pets to make this exciting next step possible. We are off to an incredible and strong start, but we need $17,000 more for equipment and renovations. Jackson County, you’ve been asking for help with dogs, and with the help of Jackson County Animal Shelter Gautier, MS (JCAS), we are delivering!

You already know that pet cat surgeries are $25 for all of 2026 (vaccines and microchip included!), thanks to support from JCAS and Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter pets.

Now, we are overjoyed to offer $35 dog spays and neuters for Jackson County residents til the end of the year! This includes the rabies vaccine, DA2PP vaccine, and a microchip. This incredible opportunity is made possible by the BISSELL Pet Foundation and collaboration with JCAS to address our community’s needs!
