I have had people argue with me and say their Vet tells them to wait till after their first heat!!
NO!!! If your veterinarian tells you this. Go to another vet. That veterinarian is only telling you that so they can charge you more money$$ .

Spaying and Neutering is so important! Here is a helpful infographic to explain why. We often see a lot of misinformation and confusion about this topic and it is so important for your pet's health! Did you know if you spay a female pet BEFORE their first heat cycle, you take their chance of mammary cancers (and other hormonally based cancers) to almost 0%? Spaying also prevents pyometras (infected uterus). Please let us know if you have any questions!
