Leo (aka "Lee Lee", "Leo Menza","my special boy", "Boo Boo," "Larry" and "handsome pants") was diagnosed with Lymphoma on 12/19/11 and will need extensive care/treatment for the next 25 weeks. ul times... 6 moves and a trip across country. Most people think cats are "aloof"... not this cat. Leo is a converter. If you thought you didn't like cats, Leo will charm you and win you over on the first meeting with his dynamic personality. Some say he's not cat at all... dog maybe? Leo has touched many lives in his short time on this earth and I want him to be around to touch many more. There is not a day that goes by he doesn't make me laugh out loud -- whether it be saying "Ma" in the middle of the night or doing laps around the kitchen island to get his exercise. He is the most loving animal I have ever known (he loves to cuddle on 'his time') and I will do whatever it takes to get him through this illness. Ironically, I also had a serious fight with lymphoma (diagnosed 5/19/93) and survived. I know my boy Leo can do the same! Currently, I am working 2 and sometimes 3 jobs to take care of us. The cost of this treatment is in excess of $10,000 and has caused a huge financial burden. Some people don't understand WHY I'd spend that on my cat, but he is a member of my family... would you give up on a member of YOUR family? Or would you give them the shot at a longer, more productive life? That's what I'm trying to do. I humbly ask you to help... whatever you can give, every amount helps. Please help us give him a life! 100% of donations will go to Leo's cancer treatment. Any potential funds raised above the treatments costs will be donated to the Veterinary Specialty Hospital/Oncology unit in San Diego for future use for another animal who needs care.
