BioStride Therapy Hi! Welcome to my page! My name is Jenna Smith, and I'm thrilled to have you here. Let me tell you a little about myself. There hasn't been much I haven't seen!

Leading Mobile Equine Saltwater Hydrotherapy Spa and Equiscope microcurrent therapy, helping performance horses reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, enhance performance, while delivering the highest standard of recovery and preventative care. I have worked alongside an equine sports medicine veterinarian for over 6 years. My experience spans from high-performance barrel horses, racehorses, wou

nd care, lameness and maintaining soundness in the equine athlete. Working alongside an equine sports medicine veterinarian has expanded my knowledge extensively. I knew I wanted to work in the equine industry since I was little. After discussing my options with the vet I work for, there is an essential need for equine therapy, especially a mobile one! So, here we are! I am excited to honored to help your equine partner feel their best at competitions or at home. Working with horses is a privilege. I have the upmost respect for these athletes! I assure you; your horses will receive & be in the best of care with BioStride Therapy! I have an amazing team working with me as well! My Mom (Sandra) my biggest supporter, will be working right alongside me. I also have my sister-n-law (Sadie) who also has extensive equine experience. BioStride Therapy is an LLC and we are also insured. When you see us set up at an event, stop by and say hello! We would love to meet you!

⚠️PSA: Shock Wave Therapy Should ONLY Be Performed By a Licensed Veterinarian

We've seen questions circulating lately about who can (and should) be running a shock wave machine on your horse, so let's clear this up.

❓Why does it matter? Shock wave therapy is a powerful tool but it's powerful for a reason. It can significantly reduce pain, which sounds great... until you realize that pain is often the horse's way of telling us "something is wrong here." Masking that pain without knowing why it's there can let an injury get worse without you or your horse knowing it.

🩺Why does it require a vet? A proper diagnosis comes first. Shock wave isn't a blanket fix for "soreness." It needs to be targeted to the actual problem, which means imaging, exam findings, and clinical judgment.

✅ It's a high-energy device that requires the right technique, depth, and settings for the tissue being treated.

✅ Horses are often sedated for the procedure which is a veterinary medical decision, not something to take lightly.

✅ Follow-up matters. A vet can tell you when it's safe to get back to work and when your horse needs more time.

🔹At PHD Veterinary Services, every treatment plan starts with a proper diagnosis because your horse deserves to be treated for what's actually going on, not just have the symptoms hidden.
